I will try to keep this short, but I feel like I need to fully explain everything so as to prevent this from happening to others. I had seen a negative review and called the owner to discuss. She gave me what seemed like a legitimate explanation and I gave her the benfit of the doubt.

The first time she stayed, there was damage to my home as well as several urine stains when I returned. There was also no note or report left like she said there would be.  She gave me an explanation of why the dogs had gotten in that room that I accepted and booked her yet again for a future date. In the mean time she dog sat for my friend at her home and it turned out that the dogs destroyed her Christmas tree, her floors were covered in urine, she messed up the dogs heart medication and she was not at the home as of 11pm despite her guarantee to be there from 9pm -7am (neighbors were keeping an eye out for her).

This happened the day before she was supposed to come to my house and I still trusted that this was a fluke accident and I am sure everything would go fine, especially since I didn't have time to come up with another plan. I asked my neighbors to look out for her to be sure she was at the house when she was supposed to be. Wouldn't you know it, the first night I was gone my neighbor calls at 10:30pm to say that she still wasn't there. I called her and was given a lot of excuses and told someone was on their way.

That person, whom I had never met, finally arrived at 11:15pm and stayed at my home the rest of the weekend. The owner should have been the one to make me aware of this, as opposed to me "busting" her so that she had to tell me that it was correct that no one was there, and someone who had never been to my home before to meet me or my dogs would be staying there, depsite her telling me twice that she herself would be the one staying there. Luckily my neighbor stepped in and went over to my house several times a day for the remainder of my time away to make sure the dogs got out.

And once again, no report was left. If you still decide to use White Rock Pet Services, please just be sure you have someone who can keep an eye out to be sure things are going as requested. I don't know what would have happened to my dogs and house should my neighbor not have stepped in. I truly feel that she is not truthful or trustworthy and I do not want this to happen to anyone else.

There was no ripoff!

AUTHOR: White Rock Pet Services - (United States of America)

To begin with, the person who filed this report didn't even have the guts to give her name.  Not to worry, her name is HILARY JACKSON KNUTH.

Yes, our sitter arrived at her house then left again, not returning until 10:45pm.  Yes, this goes against our company policy.  I don't dispute this and never did.  I even pro-rated the hours and gave her credit for two hours of service.  Therefore, since she only paid for what she got and the invoice was credited to her satisfaction, she was not ripped off.

The dogs "got into" the room they peed in because that's where they were kept, behind pet gates.  Yes, I may have missed a pee spot on a dark floor in a rather dark room.

A note was indeed left at the first visit as I told her there would be.  I instructed my sitter not to leave any notes when she stayed there since I was on the phone with the owner keeping her constantly updated.

Further, this happened December 29th, almost 2 months ago.  Why is she just now making a report.

As for her "friend" she speaks of.  That's just ridiculous.  I could go on and make false claims all day saying my friend did this and my friend did that.  But, just to clear things up.

The one with the heart medication and urine on the floors?  Yes, we had a morning visit scheduled and we gave the medication at the morning visit.  It was the owner's responsibility to tell us she gave the med prior to leaving earlier that morning.  She left detailed notes with medication times split into "morning", "afternoon" and "night" so we gave the meds at the morning visit.  My dog takes the exact same medications and double-dosing is not dangerous in a one-time situation so the dog's health was never in jepordy.  As for the urine on the floor, that was residue left by the cleaner used to clean up after the non-house-trained dogs several times a day.  The dogs were never allowed in the room where the Christmas tree was and I walked through that room several times a day and would have noticed if something was wrong with the Christmas tree.  Finally, I personally stayed in that house several hours each day and was in that home for the night by 9:00 EVERY night.  I was dropped off there on two nights because of the snow & ice so perhaps someone took the fact that my car wasn't in the driveway as evidence that I wasn't there.

I'm really upset about this and feel that there should be some form of action a business owner can take when a false report is made.  I have a highly respected company with over 200 very satisfied clients and this type of fraudulent claim can hurt my business and cost me money.  Ripoff report should require some type of backup or proof before allowing false claims to be made public and you certainly shouldn't allow "hearsay" reports by third-party persons.
