Wholesale Auto Sales - MITCH WAHLBERG, Co-owner, is a Pathological LIAR, ripoff Phoenix Arizona

I made the mistake of buying a car from this putz-head. He told me the car had been in an accident but lied about the extent of the damage. I asked if the CarFax report was clean and he assured me that it was. There was a check engine light on and Mitch promised to fix it (along with a few other things). I made the mistake of paying him before he made the repairs.

More than a month later, Mitch assured me that the light was fixed and I finally took possession of the car. The same day, the check engine light came on. I called Mitch. He suggested that I take the car to a Mazda dealer since it was still under warranty.

When I arrived at Berge Mazda the next morning, they informed me that Mitch had sent the car to them already. They told him that the wiring harness was bad and that the cost to repair would be over $1000. Mitch refused to pay and pawned the car off on me as being repaired.

When I confronted him about this and other problems, he agreed to buy the car back. When I arrived, he told me that he would resell the car within a few days and pay me when it sold. I gave him the title and keys along with the car.

Two weeks later, no check. Mitch told me that he didn't have any money. He was getting a divorce and the company was going under. They weren't filing for bankruptcy, Mitch said. The company would just rot and a new partner named "Fox" was taking over. Mitch would be the "manager", but would still make sure that my problems were taken care of.

After pumping $2500 into the car, Mitch informed me that he couldn't compensate me for my losses. "I feel bad", "what you are asking for is certainly fair", etc. Finally, he agreed to split the loss with me and pay $1,200. All talk, no follow through.

To date, I've lost over $3,000 on a 2004 car with 18,000 miles. Now I'm told that the Car Fax is tainted... 2 accidents... one severe. I've also learned from a different Mazda dealer that the engine is not original and looked as though it had been sitting outside for a long time. The entire car had been painted. I never noticed this.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING DOING BUSINESS WITH MITCH, THINK AGAIN! HE REMINDS ME OF SCOTT PETERSON... HE LOOKS HIGHLY CREDIBLE BUT WHEN HIS LIPS MOVE, NOTHING BUT CRAP COMES OUT. THE MAN DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TELL THE TRUTH.

Any potential savings is not worth it.
