Wholesale Chairs Larry Hoffman Stay clear of this company/man Los Angeles California

My organization Calvary Tabernacle placed an order with this company for 25 - 66 3/4" Plywood Round Folding Tables; 3 - Table Carts; 1 - Banquet Chair Mover.  Prior to placing the order, we contacted this company to confirm that they carried the products that were  being advertised on their website.  We specifically spoke with Larry Hoffman on April 19th, and confirmed that they had some items in stock and would be receiving a shipment from their manufacturer to fulfill our order.

We had expressed to him that we would like to have the products by May 25th for an event.  We were told that if we would be able to receive the products if the money was wire transferred to the company's bank account.  On April 26, 2013 we wire transferred $3400.  This amount covered the cost of the prodects as well as shipping and handling fees.  We then confirmed that funds were received, the order was processed, the order would be shipped by May 6, 2013 and delivered by May 13, 2013.

After contacting Mr. Hoffman when we did not receive the shipment on May 13, 2013, we were informed that their manufacturer shipped the wrong tables to their location in New Jersey and the correct tables would have to re reshipped.  We were assured that the tables would be delivered in time for our event but that did not happen.

We were provided a tracking #, and when we followed up with the shipping company the number was for a shipment made in 2012 to Ohio.  And the company informed us that they had no shipments scheduled for Calvary Tabernacle or hempstead, N.Y.

We attempted to contact Mr. Hoffman and our calls were ignored.  We were finally able to make contact at an alternate number.  Mr. Hoffman answered and stated that he was at the airport and terminated the call.  We tried on several occasion to contact him and our phone calls were ignored.  After several attempts we were able to make contact and were informed him that we wanted a refund.  At this time four months had passed since we placed the order.  He stated that he would be sending a refund in the form of a check via FedEx.  Follow-up attempts for the tracking # were unresponsive.

We finally made contact with him on August 6th and was promised a refund of $3400.  On August 14th we recieved a check via FedEX in the amount of $2400.  We called to inform him that we did receive the check but it was not the correct amount.  We were then sent another check for $3400, which was deposited, but the check was returned for insufficient funds a week later.  We have reached out to Mr. Hoffman on several occasions and he consistently made fraudulent statements to us.

As of this moment we have not received neither products or refund from Wholesale Chairs or Larry Hoffman.
