This company makes promises that do not come to fruition. I spent 1500.00 in bedding 3 months ago. 4 items were sold and 2 returned for being damaged. The promise upon purchase was up to 65% ROI in 60 days. Not happening. I will lose money on these lots. I came to him several times asking why the items were not selling. Took his advice on updating listings, even though this service was advertised as the listing being done for you. And the items still have not sold. I built trust with this company, and when I voiced my disappointment I was just blown off. Seems like a scam to me! Real business professionals offer to take care of their clients. Furthermore, he told me that his bedding was not selling either and that he had 20k in bedding sitting in inventory, and that a MLM was created that is disrupting sales, yet in the Facebook page, they are still encouraging customers to purchase bedding. If it sounds too easy folks it is. He refuses to return my calls, texts or messages. I was honest and blunt with the service, and instead of addressing the matter he ignores me. First sign of a scam is if it seems to easy. Second sign of a scam if is when there is a problem they feed you the same excuses and lines until you get mad. The third, unwillingness to cooperate. Do NOT buy large lots from this company. It takes a LONG time to get a return on your "investment" if there is any return at all. The items they sell at retail. NEVER sell for retail. It's almost impossible to break even in a decent amount of time. He's making tons on our purchases sending in stuff with extremely low sales ranks, and kepping the best items for his own accounts. Total waste of time money and trust.

Greetings,

After a little over 1.5+ years, I have finally been asked enough questions about this complaint, and want to put the entire story out there, as that was clearly not done here. I haven't had a ton of time to just sit down and respond to a complaint. Especially one that I knew was not telling of the story that consumers deserved to see and know about.

I will make one rebuttal to this, and one only. All of the facts will be laid out, and there will be no going back and forth. I have clients who are depending on me to do so much more than respond to a complaint online that is about to be proven false with both facts, and client feedback on our social media business page.

1- The first issue I would like to rebuttal is written in the second sentence. If we are going to present facts, then let's do just that. MC, as we will refer to this buyer, purchased her products on 8/25/15 & 9/3/15, and had her products shipped in to Amazon on 9/2/15 (First Order) and 9/9/15 (Second Order). This complaint was made on 10/28/15, which doesn't even give three months from the time she ordered to the time of the complaint. Actually, that's barely 2 months, which isn't even enough time to get settled in on the Amazon Platfrom.

MC purchased 2 lots from us. The first lot of bedding was purchased on 8/25/15 for $775, and the lot consisted of $3,000-$3,500 of Unmanifested Brand Name Bedding from Big Box Retailers. The Bedding is all new, with tags. MC then purchased another lot on 9/3/15, in which we offered her $25 off, to bring her total on that lot to $750 for $3,000-$3,500 in Brand Name Inventory From Big Box Retailers.

In total, MC spent $1,525 for $6,000-$7,000 in brand new, brand name inventory. MC also received our Free Amazon Prep Services with her purchase that saved her:

  • Upfront Shipping Costs
  • Time
  • Resources (Box, Labor, Tape, Paper, Ink, etc)
  • Any other prepping required to ship to Amazon FBA.

2- The second rebuttal that I would like to point out is the amount of items sold. As of the date of this review, there had been 12 items sold for a total of $1351.34 in sales. That means each item sold for an average of $112.61.

If you want to subtract the returns, then that leaves a total of 9 items sold for $946.35 with the average sale price at $105.15. Items in this clients account were also under "Commingled", which means buyers item's were pooled with other sellers of the same item's as well. This is also a practice in online Amazon selling that we do not promote. We always recommend having a "Non-Commingled" Account. "Commingled" accounts allow for anyone to put their products, regardless of condition, in the same seller pool of products as yours for that specific item. This was discussed as part of the issue over the phone with MC.

  • Click here to see Items Returned on Amazon in question (Rebuttal #2): http://bit.ly/2qKt4Bl

MC purchased 34 items at $1,525, which means her average cost per unit was $44.85. With the numbers given, she could have sold 15-20 items, and broken even on cost (After Amazon Fees included). The only way to lose money on these lots are to price them too low, or price them too high and never drop prices, in which Amazon fees and storage fees will eat you up.

3- We never promise any ROI's at Wholesale Universe. What we do is give a general estimation on what our clients are making, and what to expect. However, no seller keeps their prices the exact same, has the same exact products, or has the same Amazon metrics, so it's impossible to tell anyone what an exact ROI would be.

I do tell all of our clients that they can generally expect to see a 30%-55% ROI within 30-60 days. We also had clients who see a 8%-20% return in as little as 2-4 weeks, and clients who see a 75%-125% ROI within 4-6 months. However, no seller is the same, and therefore I can never make specific guarantees.

4- This client did build trust with us, as she explained in the original post. We spent time on the phone, on Facebook messenger, and even through text about doing business with Wholesale Universe. Once she paid, and we started the process, her entire order was completed and shipped to Amazon within 15 total days (From original payment on first order to shipment of last order to Amazon.)

The only real problem I could gather was that the items were not selling fast enough for this clients tasting, as you can clearly see the items were selling. She did reach out to us and mention that she was not happy with the service, and I did reply with a couple of reasons that sales could be slow. I always expressed to her that she should not be worried, and her products should be selling better than she is expressing. Me refering to an MLM was referring to my direct competition in wholesale who just opened a new business venture and flooded the market with bedding. The same bedding I was selling. However, as you can see from our Wholesale Universe Facebook Page and Wholesale Universe Facebook Page Reviews, that had little to no impact on the Amazon selling community. We have multiple clients who have purchased the same types of products now and are seeing excellent results with our products and services. (You will notice that MC has since deleted her 1 Star Review on our Page now that we have grown into a well known company that's professional and reputablle within the Amazon, eBay, and eCommerce community.)

After going through MC's account over the phone with her, and showing her the numbers, she still insisted that this was not right, and she was losing money. Finally after enough belittling from this client, and demanding either a refund or free products uploaded and shipped into her account, I denied and let her know I was blocking her from my personal Social Media, and if she wanted to contact us, she would have to do it through our business page. I understand now that it may have not been the right move to make as a business owner, but at the time, I could think of no other logical thing to do other than disconnect myself from a problem. I felt justified as she had received her products, a free service, was making great sales, and was demanding free inventory on a false claim.

After blocking her on my personal Social Media Page, she then decided to leave a 1 Star Review rating on our Business Page instead of reaching out any longer to fix the issue. She also contacted the BBB with a similar report, in which she wanted her full investment back, and for us to take "The Remainder" of the bedding back so she could invest in something else. Both of these reports will be listed above and below. That's not even possible since she has had products that have been sold and shipped to customers since then.

We do not promote a "Get rich quick" type of business. There are profits to be made online, especially with Amazon, but there is always a learning process, and a startup process. Once you get turning in this industry, the sky is the limit, however, it's still good to have realistic expectations in a new realm. Even if she only made a 30% ROI (She was making over a 100% ROI with numbers shown above), that would still be an excellent business decision and purchase.

She is correct. I do refuse to return anymore of her calls, text messages, emails, etc. I have grown past being taken advantage of in business, and doing business with anyone who expects their hand to be held, and still take advantage of us at the same time. We at Wholesale Universe strive daily to make sure our clients are taken care of, and won't stop until every client is satisfied and profiting. However, when we start being taken advantage of, as MC was trying to do here, I have to draw the line.

in 2016, we had one client alone spend $175,000 with us from the months of May through Decemember, and by January 1, he had over $300,000 in sales on Amazon with our products and services. All of this information and more can be found on our Wholesale Universe Facebook Page

If you, or someone you know is looking for brand name products at unbeatable Wholesale Prices, then come check us out at Wholesale Universe. We also have Amazon Prep Services to add in if that's what you are looking for as well. We no longer offer free prep services like MC received, but we will make sure to keep the price low enough to get you squared away.

If you aren't making money, we aren't making money.

I look foward to helping you make some money!

I've had MANY bad reviews in Amazon because of bedding. MORE THAN HALF was returned. And some is still sitting in inventory. I was an established seller before these purchases. I didn't demand anything for you. The pictures associated with the complaint say it all. And here are some more photos of the complaints in my Amazon account.
