Pet Professionals honor William Rilenge with adoption award. William Rilenge was recently recognized for his part in facilitating over 5000 pet adoptions nationwide since 2009. Pet Professionals is a group of pet industry members that work closely within the animal rescue community. In recognizing William Rilenge, the Pet Professionals intend to make the recognition an annual award. It is estimated that approximately 3.7 million animals were euthanized in the nation’s shelters in 2008. This number represents a generally accepted statistic that is widely used by many animal welfare organizations, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Pet Professionals is pleased to recognize those like William Rilenge who are making a difference in those statistics.
How can this be when people like me have rescued over 5000 animals?
There is NO WAY one person can rescue 3.7 million animals.

Well rescuing and placing are two different functions. So this person was given what appears to be the FIRST award for PET ADOPTION. As someone who runs a cat rescue, even I know that. Placing a rescue is more often then not a frustrating experience since everyone always wants puppies or kittens. The 5000 placements may have been older animals. If so I appluad that person!!!
Then you RUIN IT ALL with.....

Really now....Could you maybe NOT act like a three year old child. So you DID NOT WIN THE AWARD!!!! Get over it. Youre NOT in this for the "glory". Youre in this to help the animals. YOU HAVE NOT BEEN RIPPED OFF!! You should be ASHAMED of yourself for even making this post. YOU CHEAPEN YOUR OWN EFFORTS!!! Ok so you have rescued over 5000 dogs. Doesnt even put a dent in the 3.7 mil. But youre doing what you can. By making this post you tell the ENTIRE WEB that YOU THINK you DESERVE an award. You didnt get into this for an award. You got into this just like every other person who has to rescue animals. BECAUSE YOU LOVE THEM!!!

I mean you REALLY need to get over yourself. YOU didnt win an award. SO WHAT!!! THAT person did. YET AGAIN SO WHAT!!! Shouldnt you just be happy that SOMEONE is getting recognition for the work that WE ALL DO!!! Get over it and yourself. Maybe you will win next year. And not to put to fine of a point on this, but do they even KNOW WHO THE HELL YOU ARE??? WAS YOUR NAME EVEN IN THE RUNNIING FOR THE AWARD???
Probably not, and they are not psychic. Really acting like a child because YOU didnt win is so.......well to be honest, I cant come up with a word that would describe the revulsion I feel towards YOUR attitude.
