If you see anybody else's review that says run, do that! Don't think about it! I always give companies the benefit of the doubt on reviews because some people are quick to post a review. Well, this is story over the time of 2 months of dealing with Windstream. They started out their great customer service by not having a turn-up date 4 days before our current provider(s) were due to shut us off. Weeks prior, each time I asked about turn-up and showed concern about this happening before my expiration they said "We're looking good, just spoke with someone else here, blah, blah". So this alone just shows their professionalism but it gets worse. So, being reasonable and realistic because they are relying on Century Link in this turn-up, I expected them to reimburse the cost difference at least as the salesperson said they would to calm me down. They suggested extending for two more weeks (again 4 days before we were due to be shutoff) right away and did the "We'll take care of it" and they would take care of everything including contacting them as they had "Relationships" with them. Well, they didn't and by the skin of our teeth, we didn't get our internet shut down due to me begging and pleading. When you're canceling with someone, they're not so quick to reply and I was sweating it for 2 days. Also, this made me look like a fool. A fool with my current providers because I'm leaving faithful companies to go with one that's already messed up bad. Then because they couldn't make it within the two weeks extension like they more or less promised, I had to extend the rest of the month. Again, looking like a fool. The sales person's boss stepped in when I asked for an email stating they would take care of our extra charges for the month. He had this whole schpeal "We're saving you so much money over the next 3 years" crap and expected us to just forget that they cost us 4000 more for 1 month due to their negligence and ran through the numbers like a car salesman does. He took almost 2 weeks in getting us a good faith credit ($1000 dollars) and the day before we are suppose to turn up, we had a conference call to discuss how this was unacceptable. So, basically for messing up and not providing us internet when they said they would, they weren't going to minimally reimburse us and cost us 3k. Basically, they wanted us to feel we had to nowhere to go because to go anywhere else, we'd have to wait a while to be turned up. Well, we tore up our contract right after getting off the conference call when they were yelling at us, the customer! They have a "blame it on someone else" approach to justifying their inability to deliver, just like a child does. My sales guy said, I never promised anything…well, he didn't technically "promise" but I didn't know in business you have to "promise" you'll do something to do it and he clearly said before I signed the contract, we should have you up in 30 days (40 days before our expiration)…Again, like a child...After seeing reviews about the bandwidth and call quality horror stories, so glad we ripped it up. Someone from one of these big inet providers also claimed "Horror Stories" because they over promise, under deliver and seem to have horrible network and support issues…All they do is buy one big pipe from Century Link, cox or Both and then make you a smaller part of their network with a point-to-point (know this because of our circuit we have and what they tagged), this is why you get such great pricing…Apparently tho, they don't seem to do a good job managing a big pipe. Get yourself a quote from Windstream then go to give it to a big name provider, century link matched near the prices we were going to get and know have piece of mind with a real provider, not a child-like, "used-car" sales approach provider. Again, this happened in November 2013 so if you are considering them because you think they may have improved and are weary because of reviews, listen to me and don't go with these guys. Is there a 0 star rating below?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
