I am writing to tell everyone BE AWARE when shopping at Victoria Secret & the sales associate ask you if you would like to get an Angel Credit Card.
Last week, I was getting calls left & right on my cell phone. Finally, I called the number back to see who it was & it was VS calling about my past due bill.
So I went to my computer & went into my account and sure enough, there was a bill for $78.97.
When I called VS Customer Service, they could not help me because it's NOT there account, it was an account from WFNNB & they gave me there phone number.
So I call them and I asked them what is going on & the lady told me I was passed due on my bill when I signed up for the ID Protection when I signed up for it in July 2008.
So I'm trying to think & I remember a man calling me telling me that if I sign up for the protection program, I would get a $20 gift card from VS and when I get the information I can just sign up, and after that I can call them and cancel the account. Of course the pretty pink VS gift card flashed before my eyes and I said HELL YES!! ...I should have said HELL NO!!
So now its November 2008, I never received any information but they didn't mind billing me for it.
The lady I talked to told me it shows on her computer that they sent it to me.
So after talking to THREE different people, they only credit me for one monthly bill of 12.99.
I now have TWO bills of 12.99 plus $20 late fee TWICE on my bill for the total of $65.98.
I contacted VS about this and here are my emails to them:
Hello,
> My name is Patti & my account number is xxx xxx xxxx.
> I became a member of Victoria Secret in June/July 2008. I live 40 minutes way from the closest store & I have always loved your clothes & products..until now.
> I remember a man calling me in July 2008 explaining "briefly" in a fast manor about the ID Protection that you/World Financial Network Nation Bank telling me that I would receive a $20 gift card for signing up for the protection program & when I open up an account, they would send me the $20 gift card & I can close the account after that if I like. Of course, in my head the $20 pink Gift Card flashed in front of me & I said "sure..sign me up!"
> Time went on and I did not receive any written documentation of this and I forgot about it.
> It is now November and last week, my cell phone was having strange out of area calls.
> When I finally called the number back, it said it was World Financial Bank calling about my VS account & it was passed due. I have never used the card except for the first purchase & I paid that amount in full.
> I finally get into my account and it said that I have the amount of $78.97.
> NONE of this is from Victoria Secret after I called Customer Service, it is from World Financial National Bank & the VS Customer Rep could not help me. They give me another number & I called them.
> After talking to THREE people at World Financial Bank, and after them telling me that they did send a packet to me that I did not receive, the rep told me I had the option to dispute the charges & gave me an email & she told me to write a letter of my dispute with my information.
> I have done this & now I have to wait 10-12 business days for them to get back to me.
> I am upset & shocked that Victioria Secret would be involved with such a lackadaisical company.
> I did some research on the Internet & I am not the first person they have done this too,.
> Here is the link:

> Again, I am upset that VS is involved with this company.
> I hope this matter will be resolved.
> Sincerely,
> Patricia

The first response:

> Dear Patti,
>
> Thank you for your e-mail regarding your Victoria's Secret credit card account. We apologize for any disappointment this matter may cause.
>
> Unfortunately, there is not an e-mail contact for the credit card department at this time. Please direct all concerns regarding your Victoria's Secret credit card account to our credit card department directly at 1-800-xxx-xxxx or 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx if calling from outside the United States. Their business hours are 8:00 am - 9:00 pm EST, Monday through Saturday.

> You may also contact that department by mail at:

> (can't put addy on here)
>
> If we can help you further, please reply to this e-mail or call anytime.
>
> Patti, Victoria's Secret values each of our customers and hope you will grant us the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Thank you for contacting Victoria's Secret.
>
> Sincerely,

> (withheld name because I'm nice like that)

My second email:

Hello,
To tell you the truth, I don't know what makes me madder:
-that I get a typical form letter from a company with phone numbers & payment addresses to make sure they get there money
-or that VS "gave" my name, address, phone number AND social security number to another company such as World Finance National Bank without my consent.
Although, I am sure your company will direct me to the teeny tiny little fine print at the bottom of the credit card application that I was supposed to read..I will never trust a clothing company every again!!!
Therefore, after this is over, I am canceling my card & I am taking cash elsewhere.
Sincerely,
Patti

And here is another response from VS:

Dear Patti,

Thank you for your e-mail regarding your Victoria's Secret account. We apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused.

We regret you were unaware that our credit card will be managed by World Finance National Bank. Please direct all concerns regarding your Victoria's Secret credit card account to WFNNB by telephone at 1-800-xxx-xxxx.

(withheld name because I'm nice like that...AGAIN)

Notice the pattern of emails going on? Around & around in circles!!

I know that I am not the only victim here because I have read other post here and elsewhere.
Victoria Secret is not the only store that is involved with WFNNB. I am thinking its with a lot of the stores in malls across the globe so please be aware.

I can tell you that VS will not get my business for a long time IF they get my business ever again.

AGAIN, please read ALL fine print & please be aware of World Financial Network National Bank!!
