Complaint Review: World Golf Tour
World Golf Tour wgt.com Customer Service: Nonexistent San Francisco California
World Golf Tour is an online program where you can play virtual golf rounds. It touts itself as being "free" for anyone who joins as a member. What they don't tell you is that in order to actually enjoy the game you have to spend $$$ to purchase balls and clubs that actually hit well. The best part about this completely customer-hostile site and its employees is that the clubs and balls you buy with money depreciate over time. You buy a driver for $8 they will buy it back for $2 almost immediately. Balls you purchase last only a game or two and must be constantly replenished because the free balls and clubs are extremely hard to control, by design.
Here's the worst part: WGT Customer Service is consistently hostile, unresponsive, and not helpful, and submitting complaints are grounds for deletion of your account. In my experience with WGT, when I reported a programming fault to WGT, they did nothing to remedy it. Their solution to deal with complaints was to terminate my account.
My solution is simple: I will file a credit card chargeback for all the money I spent on this game, and I encourage anyone else who has experienced WGT's poor customer service to do the same.
