I recieved a letter dated 08/19/02 from Worldcom wireless stating that Worldcom is exiting the wireless business and that my transition to another respectful wireless company would be doneforme"We have arranged for your current wireless service, which includes your existing wireless phone number; to continue withour any action required on your behalf".
However, I recieved a bill shortly after that letter from Worldcom for $323.18 with little to no explanation. I called and spoke to one ignorant customer service rep after another, only to be told repeatedly that "you have gone well over your limits (minutes)". I asked for an itemized copy of all of my usage to no avail.
The woman simply repeated herself numerous times, stating that I went over my minutes and that I should have known the exact date that I would be switched to the new carrier (despite the previous statement above). In September, I recieved a bill from CINGULAR, my new carrier, as well as another bill from Worldcom as though they are now double-dipping as well as refusing to cooperate with my inquiries regarding the previous bill they sent me.
I refuse to pay the ridiculous amounts that they(worldcom)are insisting I owe without any facts or explanations. My highest bill in the year that I had worldcom was approximately $60.00. Now thay are telling me that I all of a sudden racked up $413.40 in two billing cycles? Sound confusing and unfair? I thought so too. I will go to small claims court and or the Attorney General if need be.
Obviously Worldcom employs criminals, or they would not have gone under due to insider trading. Now they expect me to believe some outrageous claim that I owe $413.40 with no explanaion? I don't think so.
