I bought 9000 credits/points in April of 2006. During the presentation I said "NO, I don't want this service" to the sales agent. She called her Supervisor who asked what don't I like about this offer and what can he do to maybe convince me to buy this. I told him about the cancelation policy where you only have 7 days to cancel the service. He said that he will cut me a special deal. Since I had a good credit history, he said that I would get no down-payment (10%) and no payments for 6 months. I would also, his words, "Have one year to try the program and cancel ANYTIME within that one (1) year!" I belived him and bought it. I came home and called the Customer services number which confirmed to me that if the manager said that it could be done, then it is possible. I belived them also... Next month I have recieved a couple of charges from Trendwest for the up-keep of the timeshare. They took out $1200 for the down-payment and $158 for the loan since I didn't pay the full asking price right there and then. I come back to the place where I bought this timeshare from (Roseville, CA) and the same supervisor says, "I didn't say that and you can't break/cancel this contract!" I am now asking around for legal help for someone to help me get my money back. I had an inturpretur with us who translated the who conversation to my wife and me, even though we didn't need one but the supervisor wanted us to be safe and to not think it's a lie. I talked to the interpretur who still works there and she recalls that conversation, including the special cancellation terns offered by their supervisor. I'm looking for an attorney or any one who could help me get my money refunded. Just to advice you, DONT BUY FROM TRENDWEST!!!

ALMOST FELL FOR THIS

So one afternoon i get a call from a woman stating i had won some FREE TRIP and a CHANCE TO WIN A CAR from a drawing from the carlsbad company stores my boyfriend and i had entered in, she kept repeating we were drawn and specially selected for this offer, all we had to do was go down to the place and pick up the prize. Getting my hopes up, i was so exited for this 2 night 3 day trip to vegas, airfare incluted plus rental car food, etc.... well later after i had received this adress and so forth and planned to go for sure she said there was a little 30 minute thing i had to listen to to claim my prize,,,, there was alot of calling back and forth and this lady really made it seem like i just got to go and pick up the prize. when i got there they then said well its actually 90 minutes long, and then it was REALLY 2 hours that we sat there until almost 10 pm after a LONG work day.
Well 'world mark by windhmam" then didnt just give us the prize, they HASSLED US AND HASSLED US for at least an hour to sign up for their program. first we said no to the first lady then her supervisor came to hassle us then she came back then his manager came to hassle us and so forth,,, me loving to travel really wanted to do it but my bf was so smart and he kept just holding his ground. FINALLy their like ok go get your prize,,, and before we could get it they HASSLED US MORE! then i repeated over and over to that dumb lady that i was only 19 and once we got the cupon for a free trip to vegas, but sure enough it said must be 21 or over to redeem cupon. plus there was a 100 dollar fee to redeem it! BS!!!!! never go to world mark by windham for anything its a rip off and stress full and a wast e of time
