I was eating my dinner while going through the mail, and noticed this flyer from a local car dealer. It said, if your number that you scratch off matches the one inside the flyer I'm a winner of 1 - 4 prizes. The prizes were either a brand new car, $5,000 in cash, a dell computer, or a 3 day/ 2 night vacation.

Well, I read it top to bottom and it did'nt say anything that I had to purchase anything, but I was still very skeptical. So I called the number of the car dealer and the cust. ser. girl said I definitely won something and I should bring in my mailer so they can scan it to see what exactly I won. I was still thinking there has to be a catch. But I figured what the hay, I'll see what it's all about.

So I dive up there and go up to a salesman and asked what did I win?. He came back and said I win the 3 day/ 2 night vacation. He then gave me another flyer that was Worldwide travel centers brochure. It had about 40-50 destinations in that I would be able to pick. It also states that I would have to mail in a $50 dollar deposit to hold my reservation. Immediately I knew it was a scam.

I my way home from the dealer I was thinking to myself, I'm proud of myself for knowing the difference between true and too good to be true. But I'm getting tired of greedy people always trying to scam you of your hard earned dollar. So when I got home, I did an online search of Worldwide travel center and low and behold my instincts were correct. There were countless people time after time who have been ripped off from these people.

These statements from the people who got ripped off I didn't see anyone whoever got back at any of them. Which I think is the reason why we are still hearing horror stories of people who actually did get ripped off.

So, I drove back up to the dealership with the intentions of reaming someone out. When I got there, the dealership was closed. So I went down the street to the local bar and told my sob story to a guy down there and he told me I should do something about it. I told him I was going to but they were closed. He said, "Gimmie that brochure I'll be back in a minute". He came back and said, "It's all taken care of".

He took the brochure and went up to the dealership and found the most expensive car and wrote on the hood "Nice Try A**hole" in superglue then put the brochure on top of the superglue.

I feel good now, and hopefully the rest of you who have been ripped off will do something similar. Eventually the media will get involved and this worldwide travel center will be exploited into being a ripoff artist and nobody will do business with them.

I do not know why rip off report even allowed you to post. Basically what you did was do a search on a company...freak out..go tell a person at a bar..allow him to trash and, super glue someones car.

First of all a rip off is if you lost money. From your story you did not pay a cent for the certificate. You did not lose $50.00 because, you did not even call and, send in the brochure with your credit card number.

Its a real shame that you are patting yourself on a back for doing these things. How do you know the car dealership was even aware of Worldwides bad repution for their 3 day 2 night vacations. The could have been completly innocent.

Rip off reports are inteded for someone that actually gets ripped off not because of speculation etc. I hope that the car dealership reads this and, hold you responsible for the damage done to the car because, if anyone is guilty of a rip off it is you.

Worldwide is a great company aside from these 3 day 2 night vacations therefore I see no need for the behavior that you desplayed in regard to you recieving this certificate. They deal with thousands of vacation request so, having 25 bad reports is nothing when you compare the volume of business that they do. I worked for Worldwide for a year and, a half so, I know Worldwide very well.
