WARNING TO ALL THE UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE and anyone that d!! I thought that I would just warn anyone who is looking for a JOB not to bother. They are just trying to get you to become an internet franchiser but they play it off as job interview. They claim to be the fastest growing internet consulting and education company and they have 700 franchise in 87 countries....it's a pyramid scheme. If you put money into this company consider it gone. I did some researching and this is what I have come up with... ** WSICORPORATE.COM is just a website to make it look legit.. ** I did a backward search with their telephone number and it gave me the name of WORLDSITES NETWORK however on my caller ID it says CND internet. I then searched for other phone numbers listed under WORLDSITES NETWORK and it gave 2 other numbers:Worldsites Network Phone: (403)225-1775 Calgary, AB T1X 1E1 and Worldsites Network Phone: (780)414-1104 17820 105 Ave NW N, Edmonton, AB T5S 2H5. I tried both numbers: OUT OF SERVICE!!!!!! **When you call them the voice mail says The Toronto Home Office. **When you ask for a business card they say sorry I forgot it upstair in my office... **The door plague doesn't even have a business name on it. **Everyone in that office were there for a job interview (10-12 people) but not a single person was there for their "web design/consulting" service. **Everyone that came in the office were asked to fill out a questionaire about their personality even though 1- 2 of these people were back for their second "Interview" and the receptionist says "oh, sorry then you don't have to fill out another one". **the "JOB" interview took less then 5 mins. for me because I asked to many questions and I said that I was cautious in their questionaire. The interviewer was trying to push me out the door because she could see that I was not gullible. She told me that she would contact me for a second interview after she review my resume. Trust me on this one...If you fall for this scheme say bye bye to your money because I give this company 2 months and the office will be empty. not so gullible Mississauga, Ontario

#7 UPDATE EX-employee responds

my experience I think that they are a bunch of overworked overzealous hypocrites

AUTHOR: C - (Canada)

POSTED: Thursday, March 24, 2005

I used to work for the company and frankly I think that they are a bunch of overworked overzealous hypocrites. They fired me because I was not willing to work more than 35 hours a week and I did not subscribe to their cult like positive attitude like they think they are somehow better than other people.

As far as I am concerned - It does not matter that they have been rated #1 - they are too indoctrinated like they are going to be the next Microsoft. Like that is a great thing to want to be Microsoft is just a Capitalist Bully that works there employees to death and they are out to crush every one of their competitors to me it's a pretty shallow goal to want to be like them.

I was a good person before this company destroyed me since they fired me 6 months ago for no good reason, my wife has left me and I will tell the world what a piece of s**t company this is until the day I die.

Here is my gift of retaliation I am posting a copy of their Top Secret Project they have been working on developing as a joint project with the Hong Kong Polytechnic Institute

Sad to say, I purchased this franchise and it was the WORST thing I've ever done. They do nothing to help get the biz off the ground and anything they produce can be done here in the US by one of the million out of work programmers. This company is a rip off!

Total pyramid scheme RIPOFF!!!

WSI's pyramid structure

AUTHOR: M. - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 26, 2003

Today it's my 67 days with WSI. I tell you the company is ABSOLUTELY a big JOKE! Everyday at least 50 people lined up at the front desk for interviews, mostly new immigrants from India, China, Korea, South America and Africa. I was interviewed for 5 mintues, the HR guy basically went over the commission structure with me and asked me to come to work the next morning. So here I am, a Regional Development Director(RDD)!! The other 16 guys who joined around the same day are all gone by now, after working two three months FOR FREE. I should have left at the second month as soon as I discovered the dirty business of this company, but second thought, why not collect more information as evidence before take off?

WSI, Worldsites, whatever it calls itself, the pyramid structure remains the same. If you read the UFOCs, you'll find a list of the franchise brokers,i.e. the RDDs. They're simply 100% commision-based telemarketers. About 300 RDDs, everyone makes a mininum 200 calls per day to everywhere in the world, 9-8, Mon to Sat.

- the First deal, 2% commission of the franchise license fee,from 40k to 270kUS;

- 2-8 deals:5%;

- 9-15 deals 7%-10%, you're a mentor now which emans you can grow your own pyramid and your RDDs will make $ for you;

- above 15 deals, 10%-20%, you're VP or RVP, which means you can basically do nothing, $$$ will follow...

As this is a pure commission structure, the so called franchise selection process is just a disguise for the fact that anyone with $ in his pockets can become a WSI franchisee. So quite often I see RDDs fight over a "promising" deal and a client gets multiple contacts in WSI/Worldsites. And more often I see franchisees lose all their investment and close down their businesses. Out of the 1000 franchisees, the handful who survive are paid by WSI/Worldsites to make video commercials which are spammed out in thousands of CDs everyday.

So much for today... My "mentor" just eyeballed me. I know I should pretend to be back on the phone again... btw,this guy spends most of his time in the office chating online, playing games, picking noses or smoking in the hallway. He's got 12 RDDs making 500kUS commission for him annually! Thanks to the pyramid structure, he gets 20% out of every deal his RDDs make.

Personnel Manager

AUTHOR: Armando - (Canada)

POSTED: Friday, January 17, 2003

Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to respond to the anonymous posting and the allegations made by this unnamed individual.

While I'm not sure who this individual is (if in fact he or she actually exists) or what position he or she was applying for, this posting certainly contains a significant level of misinformation and speculation to say the least. As one of the fastest growing companies in our industry (this month listed in Entrepreneur Magazine as the 14th fastest growing franchise company in the United States), it is essential that we continue to recruit the best possible employees to support this growth. This includes staff expansion in departments such as research and development, product development, franchise support, data center operations, marketing/ branding etc.

As such, we do have aggressive and highly effective ongoing personnel recruitment campaigns underway. The allegation that we somehow target unemployed people, through employment ads, as potential franchisees is not only preposterous (and further supported by the fact that this anonymous individual makes no reference to being given a sales presentation or being offered the franchise) it would also not make good business sense as our Franchise Development Department is looking for qualified individuals who are looking to go into business for themselves. These are usually not the same people that apply for jobs.

Regarding the concerns about our phone lines, while our company is a multinational organization, now doing business in 87 countries around the world (and one of the nominees of last year's Canadian Exporter of the Year Award), we do have different operating companies and as such, different phone lines dedicated to these different companies. As these lines pull from the same central telecom trunk it is possible for different caller id information to come up depending on which line was assigned to the outbound call.

Regarding the plaque on our door, the high-rise facility that houses our operations is now under new management. This has resulted in a great many renovations that are currently underway (new windows throughout the building, new signage, new digital parking enforcement etc.) and our new door plaque arrived 2 weeks ago. As one of the oldest tenants in the building (over 7 years) and currently one of the building's largest tenants, I don't think our landlord is too concerned about our stability or the likelihood that we won't be here in 2 months.

I suppose if someone has a pre-established mindset or is very cautious as this job seeker claims to be, it is possible for everything he or she sees to somehow support that position. I can't imagine how the alleged facts presented by this job seeker here would in any way support the supposition that our firm operates as a pyramid scheme, but I suppose this is how conspiracy theories get started.

In conclusion, if the job interview was as abrupt as described here (which seems a bit hard to imagineless than 5 minutes???) it would have been the result of a quick assessment made by one of my assistants based on the personality profile completed by the job seeker in the lobby, and the way the job seeker presented him or herself. My team has an exceptional track record of selecting those individuals who are right for our company and those that do not fit. The role of my department is to build what we call Team Canada, and as such, selecting the right individuals is a major responsibility. From what I have seen here, I can confidently say, the right decision was made for both our company and this job seeker.

We wish him or her well in his or her future employment pursuits, and hope he or she finds a company and position that better matches his or her skills and personality.
