WWP Marketing Group, Inc. had their company listed as a company looking for someone to fill their intern position on the Kennesaw State University website.

After much preparation and stress over the interview, resume, and cover letter, I went to a second interview. At the second interview they would not tell me how much they paid until I drove one of the managers to a restruant about 30 minutes away. She then told me that they do not report pay checks to the governement and that everyone starts out at the same postition, and has the same wage by selling coupon books door to door.

This company lied because they didn't have an internship. They falsley advertised so that I would work for them. They are not even what most would consider a marketing company to be.

We would like to take the opportunity to respond back to what was said about our company....

AUTHOR: Jessica - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 27, 2005

On May 6, the girl in question conducted a preliminary interview with our company. At that time, she was told of how we have intern positions available and how our intern program was set-up. In our program, an intern would have the ability to learn a variety of things in the company. (We feel that an intern shouldn't be treated any differently than anyone else and would get more out of the internship if they were cross trained in different areas.)

She was told how she would learn how to do the direct marketing and direct sales of our promotions out in the public. We go business to business, door to door, set-ups, and other areas. Once learning this she would also learn account management, how to teach and train others, how to interview and how to create the actual promotions themselves. She was then invited back for a full day second round interview on May 9th.

The second round interview gives all candidates the chance to see an actual promotion be conducted and see the sales and marketing side of what we do. The other point of the interview is for us to go into full detail about pay and structure of the company. She left our office with one of our training managers and went to lunch where she was informed of how everyone starts in our company, at entry level and groomed for management with 100%promotion from within.

She was also informed she would learn a variety of things even as an intern as mentioned previously. It was at this moment she decided that the company was not what she was looking for and ended the interview. She told the trainer she felt the enrty level pay wasn't enough for her to work here. So the girl was only on the interview for about an hour and never actual saw us perform the promotion or talk to anyone.

So, it is completely false that we don't report what people make to the government, since it is illegal to do so and we wouldn't be allowed to be in business if we did. She was accurate that we do sell coupon books out in the public and that everyone starts out in entry-level and works their way up though.

To set the record straight we definetly have internships here, since we currently have 2 in the office right now. We think the confusion was from the fact that our interns do the same things that our regular management trainees do. So, it seems that she dislike what she would have to learn and do as an intern intially before she was trained in account mangement, creating promotions, and interviewing or she felt we just didn't pay enough. Either way we feel that it's okay and wish her well in the future.

We just see no reason for her to try and discredit us and slander the company. We apologize if there was any miscommunication on our part, but we definitely have a intern program here and we peform marketing/advertising and sales on behalf of a lot of different clients and charities.
