www.sitejabber.com is a very popular site that people go to in order to see the ratings of various businesses. However, www.sitejabber.com cannot be trusted due to multiple alliances with agencies that act as if they have legal authority and judge and attempt to regulate industries. Recently it has come to our attention that www.sitejabber.com is in bed with a company called Legitscript.com The company along with NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy). This is not a legal entity, neither are. If you, your business your legally operating pharmacy or affiliate pharmacy has been extorted into either being a member of Legitscript or NABP and/or are being attacked on any website by these sites and called or deemed a ROGUE pharmacy, then contact:t ICANN COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT: Contact ICANN Compliance Department at
compliance@icann.org. Remember Legitscript is just a private "organization" with no legal standing. This is particularly true if your webhost cuts you off due to harassment by these two organizations.

Lesser known is the fact that www.sitejabber.com has formed an alliance with Legitscript and will list ANY pharmacy that is not a member as ROGUE. This is false and is libellous. In addition it is no use to try and counter the complaints, often false, lodged by competitor sites as they will simply remove your complaints and even those of any of your customers.

In addition www.sitejabbber.com is known to give a warped and unbalanced opinion of many industries due to their "for profit" standing which they will not admit to but engage in. They are making money via these alliances that defame businesses of all kinds.

Conclusion: DO NOT TRUST http://www.sitejabber.com it is no longer the unbiased place to go for honest reviews.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Complain to the National Science Foundation

Please note that, in my experience/opinion and that of many others, it seems, Sitejabber.com has a long history of making major changes to its site/trying to cover up misconduct rather than truly fixing problems in response to criticism it can't just ignore. So this response may not be completely accurate in a few minutes.

I agree with the reviewer in that Sitejabber aka GGL Projects, Inc. has some explaining to do regarding its general business practices.  It also needs to elaborate on how a for-profit company ethically and legally used the grant money it received from the National Science Foundation.

According to the National Science Foundation three guys were given public money to create a website/system that cut down on consumer-related fraud in some discernable way.  Several years and at least $500,000 of grant money later, all they've created is a technologically-primitive unmoderated bulletin board that creates opportunities for companies to hurt consumers by posting shill reviews at will, in my view.

It would be one thing if $500,000 of tax payer money funded a for-profit company that failed to complete its objectives. However, the fact that these funds ended up creating a product that actually may help businesses commit fraud is unacceptable/appalling to me and many others I suspect.

Just type Sitejabber into the search field of the document above to see its description. The project description doesn't seem to bear much resemblance to the product that was ultimately created. The Sitejabber guys don't want to answer questions about how that money was used and an e-mail I sent to their NSF project manager bounced.

However, you can still report any issues to the National Science Foundation's fraud department:

http://www.nsf.gov/oig/hotline.jsp

For example, if they did what the initial reviewer has alleged, it's possibly they violated the Sherman Anti-Trust Act by engaging in a conspiracy to disrupt commerce. I'd talk to a lawyer about that. If what is alleged is true, they certainly weren't helping consumers steer clear of fraud regarding pharmaceutical companies, in my opinion. I think that's worth talking over with a lawyer and/or reporting to the NSF's fraud department, too.

In addition to all that, Sitejabber.com, that was reputely founded by Jeremy Gin, doesnt't really exist. That's just a name used by a for profit entity in California called GGL Projects, Inc. Sitejabber/Gin/Whomever goes out of their way to obscure that fact and lead people to think that Sitejabber is some kind of non-profit or science project rather than being a for-profit entity that uses Google adsense ads to bring in revenue. This is done on the sly as the ads only appear if someone is not a registered user thus giving Sitejabber reviewers the mistaken impression that no ads are ever featured on the site because it's a publicly-funded Science project.

Another example of Sitejabber mispresenting itself/hurting consumers is the teeny-tiny script, that's content was made slightly less misleading after someone threatened to report Jeremy Gin to the National Science Foundation's fraud department, pertaining to Sitejabber's copyright statement that suggests, but does not directly state, that Sitejabber is actually part of a comporate entity called GGL Projects, Inc. and no such legal entity as Sitejabber exists.

In no other place on the site, including its About Page, do the Sitejabber NSF grantees even make a pretense  at informing the public, that paid for their $500,000 grant, that Sitejabber is just a name used by a for-profit entity and that the NSF is likely not funding GGL, Inc's project/Sitejabber any longer. That deception fundamentally hurts consumers in the many ways in the ways I've alluded to above.

Sitejabber's About page advises people not to sue them but doesn't give the contact information of the person folks wishing to take up legal issues with them should talk to. Here's the address, which is public information, of the registered agent (person who accepts service of a lawsuit or other legal correspondence) responsible for Sitejabber/GGL Projects, Inc. according to the website of the Secretary of State of California:

Jeremy Gin
169 11th Street
San Francisco, CA 94103

If you feel this company has hurt your pharmaceutical business or harmed you in some other way, I suggest taking action against it and by reporting its owners  to the NSF fraud department and/or talking with an attorney to see if you have legal redress for your issue.
