We were trying to buy a gift for our son. So we went online and found some link for www.thinkrc.com they advertised all these low prices with retail prices a fraction of what they cost. We asked what the shipping cost would be and they quoted us 55-60 dollars on a toy rc plane that costs as much as the shipping! When we requested live chat they kept ignoring us telling us to try back in a few minutes that all operators were busy. We spoke to some name Alyssa. We than tried again and again as we were trying to find out if in fact a mistake was made. They simply blocked us from live chat. We than decided to call and expressed our concerns. This person was rude abrasive and downright nasty. We asked for an email address and she said you can get it off our website and hung up! If only the owner Peter. L knew this is how his staff handles new inquires he would probably fire this person. Than again it sounded like a basement operation for all we know it could have been his wife or daughter. Who know who cares, all we know is that we are posting this to warn you of dealing with this company. If this is how they treat a new potential customer, imagine if you actually needed something? Absolutely the rudest most abrasive unhelpful and downright ignorant online retailer we have ever tried to deal with. Were going to buy local as we cannot trust people like this online. They look great online but are total A-holes to talk to let alone deal with. No sense of respect of customer service. Beware of thinkrc.com. guess thats why there website says think.... think as in who your dealing with. thinkrc.com sucks beyond words. We have better things to do than post this but they deserve this kind of free exposure.

I have bought several helicopters from think rc and have never had a problem with the shipping or the prices. In fact i shop there first when i buy my upgrades and replacement parts, as i am an avid hobbyist and fly my helicopters whenever i can.Anyone who flies knows they are bound to crash and Think rc carries a wide variety of replacement parts and upgrades..
So if you are thinking of buying a helicopter from them I urge you to do so as they have great prices and even better shipping times as well as customer service.. I have better things to do with my time as well than to be writing this rebuttal yet i feel the complaint was totally uncalled for.. thank you think rc !!! you are a class aaaa store

I recieved my first order today everything was perfect ordered two nice helicopters and they are awesome the shipping was fast and very reasonable and i will be making future purchases from ThinkRC. Great people to deal with and they took care of my order exactly like i requested. 5 out of 5 star service with this company.Prices are great too best on the Web!

The actual fedex ground shipping rate to Canada is $21.79. If can be verified independently by going to fedex.com. http://www.fedex.com/ratefinder/home?cc=US&language=en&locId=express
As a courtesy to our customers, we also handle customs clearance and GST tax so the customer does not get suprised by extra fees when their package arrives. We are not obligated to do this but we do it as a service to our customers and quote this cost up front. The cost from Fedex trade networks in Canada to handle the customs clearance for you is $20.23 and the GST tax is 5% of $169.95 which is $8.50. So the total shipping with GST tax was $51.52.
It is unfortunate that shipping to Canada costs this much but this is how much our carrier charges and we do not make any money off the shipping, customs clearance, or GST.
From reviewing the chat transcript, you asked us to ship this as a gift under $60 for an item that costs $169.95. You requested that we do something that is against the law in the US and Canada so you can pay less in customs fees and taxes. When we refused to do something illegal on your behalf you went a posted this on this site.
We have been in business for 6 years and have a large warehouse in Southern California. Our shipping is how much it costs us to ship and has nothing to do with offering lower prices and raising the shipping prices.
Asking us to do something illegal and trying to damage our credibility online anonymously when we refused, speaks for itself. If you have any other issues please free to contact me and thank you for your time.
