Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

If you're thinking of going there, Don't believe a word that the recruiters tell you. They are independent contractors that really have no real concept of the business.  They will tell you ANYTHING you want to hear to sign you up.I did the Auto/Hotrod program, and honestly, I knew very, very little more after I completed it, than I did before I went. WyoTech is owned by Corinthian colleges, and their goal is to make themselves money, not educate the students.

The main goal of Wyotech is to make you stay there as long they can. They cram as many people in a class as it can take, have poor quality teachers and poor facilities. The teachers were totally unmotivated and almost every day students stand in line or wait for a 'sign-off' the majority of time they are there.

Not to mention that if you do housing from them you will be staying in a rundown hotel or anywhere else they can stick you.

Also Laramie is below zero for most of the winter. Icy, cold and miserable. The reason the school was built in Laramie was because land is cheap.

The Auto program is a joke. Honestly, my high school auto shop was more modern. The cars that you work on are all junkyard vehicles, and every knob, wire and lens is broken off or ripped apart. The actual class itself is useless. They teach you things like how to rebuild an alternator and starter, things nobody has done for 25 years. Classroom material looked like it was cheaply photocopied from 1960's tech manuals. Halfway into the Auto 1 program all we had done was change oil, water, check light bulbs and crush filters. No Joke. Someone who came in to this program not knowing anything about mechanics would not even be qualified to work at a Jiffy Lube. And half of the time the cars would not even make into the shop because they are so old and been taken apart so many times the teachers cant even fix them.

Financing: The cost is around 25K, which means that almost everybody has to do student aid. The school has a policy that if you withdraw before certain times, you get a portion of your tuition refunded. I received numerous grans and loans including the Pell grant, which Wyotech lied about to get me signed up for, then revoked the grant funds five weeks into the program.

Also they will get there money I stop paying them and the harass me almost every week sending me notices and saying that if I dont pay them there going to take my tax returns now some company called Windham Professionals is trying to get to me to redo the loans that I got from Wyotech and Sallie Mae. If you really want to be scared look them up.

So to be up front with you DONT GO TO WYOTECH the will cheat you and lie to you all you will get in the end is a poor automotive education and being in debt with a 25,000 bill

Jose was the lucky one he left I didnt now im stuck with a bill and no education

Shut up because you don't know the half of it

AUTHOR: sonny2k9 - ()

I worked for Wyotech Laramie and i'm ashamed to admit it. Bottom line is, Wyotech is a scam. The credits you accumulate there are only transferable to schools like Devry. Not to mention the fact that wyotech is not even recognized by the US department of education Search Institutional Accreditation System. Please forward this message to as many people as you possibly can, for someone has to put a stop to this madness. These people are legally stealling money from people with a low IQ.

Someone is not smart to begin with

AUTHOR: protectorofwyotech - (United States of America)

I am responding to the idiot that was reporting that WyoTech is a ripoff.  It is not a ripoff, the sad thing is that you must not have been the smartest persons in the world for you not to learn anything.  I like also how you feel free to only put down the Laramie campus.  And you are a complete moron if you think the only reason WyoTech was put in Laramie was because land is cheap.  You idiot, it was build in 1966 and land was cheap everywhere compared to today standards.  It was opened in Laramie because that is where the people that started it were genius.  Laramie may be below zero in the winter, but I'm guessing you have never spent a summer there.  It rarely gets to 90 degrees and it is beautiful there in the summer and fall.  So next time you want to down something, get your facts straight...Loser
