Owner Greg Dockery compares himself to a modern-day Thomas Edison, when in reality, he's more like Al Capone.

He runs a company which he claims to have dozens of scientists working on innovative, new products in a 100,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility. Would such a company rip off so many consumers by refusing to honor its promises? I think not.

He has an impressive web site and a great sales pitch, but after my dealings with him, I picture him in his pajamas in his basement, unshaven, smoking a cigar, and creatively thinking up new ways to scam unsuspecting suckers.

Know what you are talking about

AUTHOR: Terry B - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 28, 2009

This is about the AG in Texas and the Lawsuit. Forem Technologies wasbuying products from xium and they are the ones who were responsible for the money back guarantee not Xium. They are now out of business and the only company around is Xium so they are taking the hit. As for the Lawsuit it only involves one of the products that Xium has to offer so knnow what you are talking about before you run your mouth.

Oops - llooks the product got the attention of the Texas State Attorney General. NO matter what the rebuttals may be, I stay away from products that get the AG's attention - which usually only happens when customers complaints start poring in!!!

Sue, We have returned your money plus the shipping, but you did not post that on this site. I would like to know why not. You have posted damaging information, but have not let everyone know that this has been taken care of now. I take great pride in our customer service for Xedia Technologies and by your comments this still has an affect on peoples opinions to this day. I understand that you were angry, but when a situation has been resolved you should rectify your comments or at least let people know that this matter has been taken care of. A normal refund is only 129.95 and you were credited 144.95 which included your shipping as promised. You on the other hand have made this sounds as if Xium still has not given your money back. This is not the case. I would hope that you are satisfied at this point and I wish you a pleasant day.

Victim Rebuttal #2

AUTHOR: Sue c. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 12, 2008

Why do you suppose we "customers" are angry? In all of Xium's 'damage control' rebuttals, no one has addressed that question. If you're as nice as you and your paid employees say you are, Greg, why don't you keep your promises and just return our money? "As ye sow, so shall ye also reap!"

Response to the wrong information posted

AUTHOR: Darcy Watson - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 12, 2008

I work for Greg Dockery and I would like to respond to this bogus complaint. Greg does have several persons working on his new inventions continually. We do have a colossal size warehouse which holds an oversized amount of stock (new and experienced products).

Next Greg Dockery in all my time of working for him has been a very persistent worker. The image displayed on this report in reference to Greg is counterfactual. Greg Dockery is always shaven, never smokes, and is always creatively thinking up new ideas and not ways to scam people. Reports in such a false nature tend to reflect on the company in a harmful way.

I feel that customers should not report out of anger and should review their facts before posting such harmful information. The information posted is not correct and persons that are detoured by what is posted should do their own research or testing in reference to this product being a rip off.

Rebuttal to Rebuttal of my comments

AUTHOR: Sue C. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 03, 2008

Gee, Greg, did you write the rebuttal to my comments yourself?

As if you didn't already know, I followed Xium's return policy to the letter. The dish antenna was returned within 30 days with the RMA number & the return was verified by the company. I lost track of the number of long-distance calls I made & letters I wrote trying to get my money back. So "working with the company" really didn't accomplish much.

Last November, out of the blue (about a year after I was scammed), someone from Xium named "Mark" called me (was that really you, Greg?). "Mark" apologized about the fact that my refund had been somehow overlooked, and that a check was forthcoming, which would even include the shipping cost I'd been out. I was so impressed that I agreed to remove my comments from Rip Off Report (which I later discovered I am not allowed to do). Perhaps by calling me, "Mark" thought that his empty promises would result in the comments' removal.

No matter how your rebuttal seems to make my report sound like the ravings of some mad woman (I do admit I'm mad), my report is still good and I'm still out!

Thanks, Rip Off Report! At least I feel better by warning others.

Greg Dockery and Xedia Technologies

AUTHOR: Bill - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 02, 2008

Owner Greg Dockery compares himself to a modern-day Thomas Edison, when in reality, he's more like Al Capone.

>> Greg never wanted that title and if you ever met him or saw him in a meeting he does not want to be in the spotlight. That name was given to him by someone in another company named Forum Technologies. That person there that wanted to give Greg that look was Bill Johnson and Greg never did warm up to it.

He runs a company which he claims to have dozens of scientists working on innovative, new products in a 100,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility. Would such a company rip off so many consumers by refusing to honor its promises? I think not.

>> I am not sure where you get your information but Greg does have a number of engineers designing product that he can bring to the market and yes the facility there in Taiwan which Greg does have an office at is that large. I am not sure which promises you are talking about. I know that Xedia honors returns that are within the policy as stated on the company's website. You should call customer service and work this out without going public like this with your complaints.

He has an impressive web site and a great sales pitch, but after my dealings with him, I picture him in his pajamas in his basement, unshaven, smoking a cigar, and creatively thinking up new ways to scam unsuspecting suckers.

>> Wow you sure are anything but professional and totally without credibility. I suggest you grow up and get a life. Maybe you ought to visit the Xedia website and view the tour of Greg in the factory in Taiwan and also go to Round Rock in Texas and visit our facility.

Hey here is one for you... I mean you have probably already seen this with your acute research skills.

Greg is very involved with High School Volleyball and helping kids get scholarships.

ETL maybe some day

AUTHOR: Beng - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 28, 2007

You brought up the subject but do your own homework and call Intertek to see if the Xpower is ETL listed. No it is not I just contacted them today. Maybe it is in process but that is long over due.

But forget about ETL listing that just shows that it is safe, similar to UL listing. It does not say that the product was tested to work as advertised.

You said you are selling them by the piles, but that is not because they work but because you have sold it and in this case you have ignorantly lied to them. That is it.

I have tested the product myself using a kwh meter and guess what. The kwh never change when you use the xpower or if you don't use it. In PA and most states you are charged based on kwh usage. So if that never changes then your bill will remain the same.

As far as testimonials, bogus, your electric bill will fluctuate from month to month due to many reasons including weather and varied daily living that involves electricity usage. Meaning it is not a controlled environment. Give me a controlled environment plug the Xpower in and see if you have a change in kwh. You won't, because that is what I did.

If Greg can test it like this and show a change in kwh that would show a 25% savings in kwh, go for it. I dare you and him.

xpower is a working retail product

AUTHOR: J J - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 13, 2007

Everybody check out the authentic ETL listed product under Xium corporation. Make sure you check under Xium.(the Xpower Energy Saver)

The products are for real and I have seen hundreds and hundreds of positive results. The energy savings does not lie. Check out the electric bills on the Xedia Technologies website.

His three new products that are coming to the market in December will blow your mind Ben! I am sure you will have a lot a research and time on them. But, you are entitled to your opinion. Meanwhile, I am selling them in the pile loads. Why? They work.

I think you should "leggo your ego"

Xpower does not work as it claims

AUTHOR: Beng - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, August 17, 2007

I am an electrical engineer and have found that a number of my family members have gotten involved with Forum Technologies which markets products designed by Xium Corporation. Their showcase product is the Xpower which claims to save up to 25% on your electric bill. After doing my own research, this device simply corrects your power factor, reducing your reactive power usage but very little change in real power usage. If the unit is placed close to an inductive load (such as a motor) with a bad power factor it will save you some real power in your wiring. This is simply because you reduced the amount of current flowing in the wires due to the reactive power, but not the real power used to drive the motor.

A few key pieces of info in my research are the following:

Article written by an EE that is fairly technical but does explain that it is not justified for nearly all residential consumers.

http://powerelectronics.com/power_management/motor_power_management/power-factor-correction-0507/index.html
___________________

Article and Video piece by KUTV done on the Xpower. He buys two units and tries it in someone's home and the other unit is evaluated by University of Utah EE department.

http://kutv.com/letbillbuyit/local_story_038185542.html
______________________

Additionally, I personally contacted the independent testing lab that purportedly did the testing and wrote the report on the xpowertechnology website. I talked to Jason Anderson, Director of Testing Services, and he told me that they have sent a letter to the company in question telling them to "take it down" and "that the report is falsified". He said he would not make any further comments. Here is the link to the report.

Lastly with a basic engineering understanding of power and electronics, even if I don't count the info above, the claims of this device are bogus.
