First I received a text from a phone number (presumably automated) advertising a part-time job and instructing me to email said employer for more details. I did as asked, and corresponded a few times - this supposed "employer” Yannis Jeffrey claimed to be a quantity surveyor and to also do real estate and required an online assistant as she was in Canada until June. Once I had given my cell phone number to text, they immediately started asking what bank I use and then thats when I knew it wasn’t legitimate. When I asked for credentials they never responded, several days later they reattempted the scam activity only for me to deny any efforts without credentials - no LinkedIn profile, no registered real estate identification? Clearly, total fake. It helped to see this report posted as well when I googled the phone number!
