Yellow Pages Online Services Irving, TX Ypediapromotions.com National Yellopages RIPOFF! SCAM! MISLEADING! UNREASONABLE! Irving, TX 75063 Nationwide

I was sent a letter in the mail that is the same exact letter that is seen with similar yellow pages look a like complaints. The letter is one is addressed by National Yellow Pages and is addressed to you the customer (most likely small business customer). It has a big bold strip that has PLEASE MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CORRECTIONS BELOW. Below will be listed your information and it will have most of it correct but there will be something that is incorrect. In my case the phone number was incorrect. When you read the bottom it says that this is not a bill or invoice for services it is only a solicitation for services. Upon receiving the first bill I was shocked. I was charged 361.90 for these services that I only thought I was correcting. They will send you the copy of the bill that you signed and in the fine print it states nothing of the details that you signed up for nor does it explain where your information will be posted, how to edit, etc.  In review of the rest of the bill I saw a phone number in which I called and left a voicemail with no call back. A day later I was looking at the bill again and noticed a website. I went on the website and typed in my information and hit please cancel and close my account. The account then refreshed on the page and showed a zero balance.

About a month later I received a second bill for about the same amount again! I called the phone number listed and I reached a customer resolutions supervisor and he stated that their company has no website and there is no way that I could go online and cancel services. Also in addition there is no information on their computers about me calling in at all. He said he would resolve the late fees but I will still be charged for services. I told him I have no idea where my information was listed nor did I have any idea that I agreed to pay for this. I pleaded with him to assist me in dropping the charges and he said no. I told him that we were a new business and we could not afford unknown charges like this and he said I will notate your account and you will be sent to collections if you do not handle this today.

With a large focus on google analytics for small businesses there is an increase in the amount of companies that will list your business with or without your knowledge with the incorrect information and they demand money to change the information. If you don't pay them they won't change it and you will drop in google rank. If you do change your information you are held hostage by companies like this that basically either steal your money from you or threaten you with collection companies. Mostly all of the same complaints about this are new businesses that are going through the stress of trying to cover all of their bases to get off on the right foot and these people prey on them. This is not right or ethical at all!
