Z TEL COMMUNICATIONS ripoff consumer fraud ripoff ripoff deception BALTIMORE Maryland

I am a customer of Z TEL communications, I get my phone service thru them.I was supposed to have 30 "free" minutes of long distance which also includes or I was told did, other countries.

A friend of mine used my phone to call Cuba, during an emergency with a member of his family, before making the call I called and spoke to "Ryan" at Z-Tel.

I called to verify that we could make this call and was told yes, but anything over the thirty minutes would be charged at a rate of 69 cents per minute.

Well when I got my bill I was in the amount of $249.46, I called and asked about the minutes used and was told that I still had 30
minutes, and that the calls to Cuba were not part of the plan.

I explained that I had spoke to "Ryan", I was told that there wasn't anyone by that name in that office. I asked for a supervisor and the name of who I was speaking with at the time.

THe lady told asked me why I wanted her name, I told her so that I could keep a record of who I spoke with. She told me her name was Twila.

I was told to call back and speak to Sharon or Eddie, when I did and explained my confusion I was told that I was never told that my thirty minutes were included and that I must have spoke with another company, I told her I had just spoke to Twila and was told again, " I'm sorry we dont have anyone by that name here.

Needless to say I have sent in the payment but I dont feel that the amount is correct, and why was I told one thing and charged another. And why do the employeed give out false names?
