I received a check for $2998.40 in the mail. The letter stated that I won the lottery. But I had to deposit the check into my account and then write a check for $2844.50 for international clearance fees.

Please! After typing the telephone given on the letter into search, I found out that it was a rip-off. Please, Please, Please do not deposit the check.

If it's too good to be true, it usually is.
