Zero Plus Dialing Inc Custom Teleconnect Called my ans mach while I was at church on Sunday & confirmed a 3 min. collect call in our same state for $28.87. San Antonio, Texas

I opened my AT&T home phone bill and found a nasty $28.87 surprise charge from Zero Plus Dialing, Inc. The date and time of the single 3 min. collect call matched the time our family was at Church, so our phone rang a minimum of 8 times prior to the answering machine picking up. The source of the collect call was Grant Grove, CA, which is a prison town just 100 miles away from our home.
Calling the 800 number for these crooks just affords the opportunity to leave a voice mail message, which of course is never returned.
Hope the Calif AG's office throws the book at these scam artists!
