This company APPEARS TO BE A SCAM!!
They took my credit card and all the information over the phone for some product I wanted to order. They PROMISED the order the next day and it never arrived. They charged my card and it shows processing. Then i get a call saying the card was declined and IT WAS NOT! The money has been taken out of my account.
The girl on the phone was VERY B***** and said she didn't care if I blogged about this or not. So much for customer service, I would AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!! What a scam!!!!

We have decided to end this now and not give you permission to publish any of our conversations.
Your user name is Minnesota but, you were having us ship your products to Michigan.
You wanted permission from the person that you spoke to here on Saturday but, we are not open on Saturdays, never have been, and it was not possible that you spoke with anyone here on any Saturday.
You accused us of receiving your money and not refunding it but, then stated that your bank held the funds which means that we never received them.
Yes, we have our fraud settings set high because of all of the attempts to purchase items from our website with stolen credit cards. Most of our customers thank us for trying to protect them.
We called you within moments of you placing your phone order to tell you that your card was declined yet, you did not call us back until the following day. What more should we have done?
You state that you are also an online merchant. In that case, you should have notified us that your billing and shipping addresses were different when placing your phone order, even if we forgot to ask. We always do when placing orders, since we know it can cause a problem.
So, in conclusion, since I do not see a happy ending for this conflict, I would like to apoligize for anything that you feel that we did wrong in the way we handled your order. We wish you better luck in dealing with whichever other company you choose to deal with in the future.
Ride safe, Gary

Please have the female who took the call give her consent to publish a recorded conversation, this will require her consent. As well as the consent of the guy who handled the call on Saturday. Once we have those consents i can post them (required by federal law).
And no, so we are clear, your employee NEVER asked for a billing address, ever. She just took an address. It should be noted that i have ordered from your company before and received my order. If the employee wasn't so bitchy and making it appear it was my fault and not your companies for not asking for the bililng address, this wouldn't have happened. Its going downhill fast becasue the post continue to piss me off. Its ridiculous to cover things up instead of saying, hey our fraud settings are too high, yeah maybe the card was charged and held as pending as an authorization (instead of a capture) which is was - your system didn't capture it because it didn't like the ping back that the zip codes didn't match up.
I was miffed because we needed this product on the day it was promised, instead I got excuses and no product and then a turnaround - HEY ITS YOUR FAULT CUSTOMER.
No, it was the person who took the orders fault, they should have asked for both shipping and billing address. Period and those are the facts. The more we post the more this post rises to the top of the search engines, just so you konw.

The Truth

Well, I can see this is going downhill fast. Obviously, anyone reading these comments will not know who is telling the truth and who is lying. We get credit cards declined every day for a variety of reasons. It is impossible for us to know why this one was declined nor would we ever assume what might have happened and explain this reasoning as fact to a customer without knowing for sure. While we have no problem giving our consent to the conversations being released, we have nothing to hide, how do we know that you have not altered them to fit your needs? We did not record the conversations and are only going by memory. So, go ahead, post them.

Its pretty amazing how a company can get stark critism, the kind that they basically asked for by being jerks and then they want to post lies about it. Its nice to know you can rewrite history the way that it suits you instead of just saying, hey customer, you might be right. Yes, the card was charged and it held the funds "Processing" for Friday, Saturday Sunday and were released Monday.
Someone selling online this many "years" as they claim should know better and should know exactly what happened. As a merchant myself online, I tried to give them advice on the phone, explaining that they must tell their customers they are going to run the shipping address as the billing address. They didn't do that and for whoever posted this to get on here and LIE OUTRIGHT, publish a lie, puts the entire Cyclemax name in jeoprardy.
Want to know why?
All calls incoming and outgoing from our company are recorded for record-keeping purposes. Its my company and its in compliance with law in my State.
If they really are concerned about their truth, have them okay the posting of the conversations (both of them, the order and the follow up) and let's see who is lying and who is telling the truth. I give my consent what about you??

What really happened.

Cyclemax has a long standing reputation of being an honest legitimate company.
This customer called in to place an order over the phone. We took all of his information over the phone and told him that we would ship his items the same day, as we almost always do. After the phone call, we attempted to process his order but, his bank declined his credit card. We never ship anything without it being paid for first. So, we immediately called him at the phone number that he gave us and had to leave a message. We did not get a response until the following day.
When this customer called the following day and learned that his order had not been shipped, he became irate. He explained that his bank had taken the funds out of his account and we must have his money. We explained that the transaction was declined and we did not have his money. We told him that he should speak with his bank to find out what happens to funds when a transaction is declined. One of the questions that we always ask during any phone order is if the billing address for a credit card was the same as the shipping address. It is part of the form that we have been using for phone orders for the last 12 years and is impossible for us to skip.
During his initial order, he said that both addresses were the same. Now, during the second call, he stated that his card was probably declined because we used his shipping address for the billing address and we never asked him if it was different. This would have caused the declined transaction. At this point he again demanded a refund and told us to cancel his order. We politely told him that we will be happy to cancel his order but, we could not refund his payment since we never received it.
At this point he became even more upset and began to threaten us with all of the negative publicity that he was going to give us on any internet sites that he could. So, true to his word, he posted this comment using only some of the facts. We have been dealing with customers for a long time and almost every one of them is very happy with our customer service. This is all easy to confirm on the internet. However, no matter what you do, you will never please everyone. We know that and we know that it does not do any good to be mean to them in any way. We offer to correct the problem when possible or cancel an order if the customer prefers that. His statement that our girl on the phone was very b*****, is just not true.
I would think that Cyclemax is not the only company that this person has complained about. Maybe it is not the companies that are the problem.
