I received a letter from Elgordo Sweepstake lottery Company S A. saying that I had won 615,810.00 Euro Dollars. All I had to do was call them within two days and that I must keep it quite as to not alert others.

This is a scam. Misspelled words, different company names, and if it's too good to be true then it's not true! Please don't send any money to anyone asking for it or give them your private information because they can then access your account.

MAIL FRAUD !

Please tell me

AUTHOR: Bob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 01, 2004

Please tell me if any of you have ever heard of a contest that you have to PAY to get the proceeds. Please name one. In the States the applications for contests are very clear (though in small print) that you normally don't have to buy anything to submit an entry for a contest.

And if the Lottery in Spain has millions of dollars, why can't they just take their service fee off the top? Because it is a scam!!

Rebuttal SCAM " SPAIN LOTERIA"

AUTHOR: Estela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 30, 2004

I received a letter saying that I just won the Spain Loteria.. At first I just was ready to throw it in the garbage.. I do play the lottery in Spain, so I then decided to give the number a call... I call the Agent named Manuel Garcia,, He sounded like it was to good to be true... He said that I was one of the winners in the Lottery in the 3rd Category... I needed to fill out he information on the form and fax it to him.. I then thought it might be true since he didn't ask for any money... After I faxed the documents over he then called my and asked me to send the Processing Fee of $1650.00.. I told him to take it from the winnings, that I never heard of anything where you have to pay any fees... He told me it was all secured in a Insurance Bond and only I was the one who had access to the money but I needed to claim my winnings first.. I was not feeling that this is legitimate and did research of my own and found this website.. I thank all of you who have listed them as a Fraud or Scam because now I know that this is to good to be true....I was reading Robert letter on the SCAM and at first I thought he was really going to get his winnings, but at the end this was just another Joke....

THE SCAM CONTINUES

AUTHOR: Robert - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 03, 2004

I have just won the lottery!
The Spanish Lottery Scam and its variants are becoming one of the newest advance fee scams to appear in the email boxes and fax machines of many people. These scams are very much like the 'Nigerian Letter or South African Letter scams. Originally named for the first variant of this scam using the large national lottery in Spain variants of this scam are now surfacing naming other lotteries.

Participants in this scam can become victims of Identity Theft as the targets are asked to provide SIN numbers and other important personal and financial information.

Other targets report attempts to lure the individuals out of the country with cash needed to pay "processing fees" in order to complete the transaction.

Still others have been asked for funds and banking information.

The perpetrators expect that the targets are unfamiliar with the rules, regulations and procedures of how International lottery winnings are processed.

Thanks to Allan from Longview, Texas who has lived in Europe for 10 years and has saved me from loosing over $4,000.00 CAD dollars !

I will be filling my own Rip-Off Report, the complete Spanish Lottery Sting Opperation soon !

Thanks a million Allan !

GOD BLESS !

The Final Commitment SCAM or NOT ?

AUTHOR: Robert - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 03, 2004

To Allan from Longview, Texas U.S.A.
It would have benefited all of us if you would have stated in your first report that you lived in Europe for 10 years and that sending money out of their country was illegal.

Yes I did play their lottery three times as a group and they contacted me via email because that is what I entered my email address on the form when I purchased the ticket(s).
I am not lying, I am giving you and the readers the facts as they unfold and as to what is being explained to me from this apparent security company who is handling my claim.

My last financial transaction is to be today, now you got my attention.

Do I flip a coin and then decide if I should follow through and have all the facts available to prove to the world that it has all been a scam ?

You no longer live in Europe Allan and laws do change ,do they not?. Who claimed that it was a stated lottery? I didn't.

I will reply to this post in 48 hours from now and let people know if it was a scam or not !
So people out there ...hold on to your money and whatch me be scammed or actually win the claimed lottery ! Play it to the end will prove the scam ! If you can't afford to loose your money don't do it ! It's not over till the fat lady sings ! If I loose my shirt people ,please forward donations to me for prooving it to be a scam or not ! Someone has to take the bull by the horns ! ....to be concluded GOD BLESS !

Don't Lie To Me Robert! I Lived in Europe For 10 Years and Your Last Email is a Total Lie!!!

AUTHOR: Allan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 02, 2004

Robert in Canada,You just keep on telling everyone how much you know, don't you! Well for your information I Lived in Europe for 10 years and your talking Bullshit about all the holding companies, transfer agents and crap like that.

I actually did play the REAL lottery while I lived there and I also know that it is completely illegal for someone outside of the country there to win a d**n thing on a state run lottery!!!

Besides, how in the hell did I win a Lottery that I never even entered? And, even had I entered the lottery it would be completely NOT LEGAL for me to collect on from out of the country!

This is my last email on this subject! I didn't write in to get into a pissing match with what appears to be a complete idiot or a SCAM artists trying to snag more money from unsuspecting innocent people.

You just keep on telling everyone how much you won Robert because No One will believe your not a part of the scam anyway.

As for the genuine people out there, please just be aware that this IS A SCAM and is well documented on this wonderful web site. And it is nothing more than an extension of other scams that have been run on the internet and by mail by many people from many countries.

Love and Light to you all !!!!

Financial Laws in Europe Lottery are different than U.S.A. and Canada !

AUTHOR: Robert - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 02, 2004

Just the facts please ! I have already spent $1300.00 CAD through my assigned agent and have secured the certificate. This process has taken since October 22/2004 to accomplish.
You will learn if there is a "SCAM" from participating individuals such as myself.
Any person giving feedback here and has no financial involvement such as myself have no merit!
At 4:30am this morning I received a call from the Bank Manager where he tried to explain the regulations pertaining to Europe Lottery where EU Laws and transfering large funds out of Europe have particular formality ...Well, after doing my best to absorb all this information, I started to think back as to all the responses that were posted here ! Remember ! I am the 2nd individual who responded from all those who have been listed after me !
I began to have second thought, I promissed myself that there is going to be a cold day in hell before I forward any more money and take my losses.
I am not here to convince any one that they should participate in any way, you have your own concients to live with.
I am at the point in the game now, that funds are to be transfered to my account but here's the next step that I need to convince my soul....
I have been given two choices, to receive the funds within 36 hours or 7 (seven) days !
HEY ! I want it within 36 hours right ? Here's the catch ...Remember, in Europe Lottery it is unlawful to withdraw funds from lottery winnings ( because it is your money and it's in TRUST of that bank) Note:that is why you pay for that ($ecured Certificate...)to pay for that service.
It will then cost you more to expidite the funds (36 hours)and the cost is less for 7 day service ! ....to be continued

ROBERT you must be a Part of the Scam!

AUTHOR: Allan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 02, 2004

To Robert from Canada and all readers,
Robert I find it very interesting that I never even purchased a lottery ticket from Spain and yet "My lucky Numbers came up"! You know, I may not be the best at spelling either but if I were a company sending out a "winner" letter I bet I could at least spell winner.

Further more if I was the winner because of quote "some numbers beed mixed up so I must hurry and not tell anyone because them would be angry" I would be really pissed off if I really was a player and they gave the money to a non-player.

Last but not least! It seems really strange that the letter I received for the Spain election was actually postmarked from Canada!! If you mailed it Robert bring your a*s on down to a Real Country and answer a few questions to the Post Master General and then come own down to Texas in about 50 years when he lets you out of prison for mail fraud and face a real man!!!

From Robert " have spent $$$ + time + fax + person to person telephone calls to secure this transaction.
The next seven (7) days is going to be exciting or a learning experience. Either way there will be a cost at the end !"

I think maybe Robert is living in a dream world. What contest, lotto, or whatever would CHARGE you if you won? All the costs associated with the winners would be taken out of the winnings before they are sent.

What about the others on this site who sent in their money and have never heard anyting again after they supposedly won?

You are part of the scam and i hope all the people that read this site don't get sucked in. Maybe the editors will see this and remove your lies from this site.

There are 11 winners of 615,810.00 each in EU Dollars to be claimed!

AUTHOR: Robert - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, October 31, 2004

It would be interesting to know where you feel that they are a "CSAM" ? I play their Lottery via the mail as a group player.

Any lottery winnings of large amounts require proof that you are the rightful receipient and a security company handles all their secured transaction.

There are 11 winners of 615,810.00 each in EU Dollars to be claimed ! looks like Allan from Longview, Texas U.S.A. has just forfeited his dream.

Just as much as it would cost you for a money order it will cost you for a registered and secured certificate for large amounts of money; being transfered from abroad.

If you have not responded by submitting any funds or faxed required documents, where's your fraud claim ?

I believe you owe the readers more facts as to your accusation my fellow lottery player.

Personaly, I have submitted all necessary information to the Security Company that handles the required Banking information, so that the funds can be wired to the proper receipient.

I have spent $$$ + time + fax + person to person telephone calls to secure this transaction.
