I have reported this company to the Texas Attorney General and the DEA.  I have found some information about them that proves they are using information from medical patients to have false prescriptions filled and that they may be selling those prescriptions.

2 bottles of vicodin were recently purchased from someone who works (or owns this company, im not sure) and the bottles had the labels torn off.

Be careful with this company!

Press Release!!!

AUTHOR: LabelSecure Rx - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, July 11, 2010

This is the official response from the Public Relations Department of LabelSecure Rx, regarding a complaint filed with the Rip-off Report website, that alleges we have committed an illegal act in the course of carrying our our business practices.

First, LabelSecure Rx would like to say that these allegations are untrue and we welcome and will cooperate with any investigation by any law enforcement agency to review our business practices at any time. We are in full compliance with all federal, state, and local laws regarding our business operations and will continue to maintain such compliance as part of our mission.

LabelSecure Rx is a business to business company and we do not sell directly to consumers. We also do not collect information from medical patients of any kind to conduct our business services.

LabelSecure Rx does not operate as a pharmacy and does not have the authority by law to fill any prescriptions and has never sold prescription medication to the public.

On behalf of protecting the general public, LabelSecure Rx ask that anyone having information detailing criminal wrongdoing by any of our employees, you should contact your local authorities immediately and file a police report.

Also, if anyone is aware of any person(s) attempting to collect personal medical information from anyone or attempting to represent LabelSecure Rx in the course of any illegal business practices such as purchasing and/or selling prescription drugs, contact the local authorities with specific information to help law enforcement apprehend these individuals.

Lastly, here are some rules to follow about your personal medical information and medical identity theft.

1. Never share your medical and/or prescription information with anyone outside of your medical provider, health insurance company, or other professionals obligated to observe the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA), and protect your medical information.

2. Be aware of suspicious persons trying to gain your Protected Health Information (PHI), in the course of business.

3. Your trash may be someone elses stash. The trash is the number one place to gain free personal information. Shred it before you toss it.

4. Emails are not always private. Thieves may pretend to be legitimate financial institutions, companies, and government agencies asking for your sensitive personal information.  If you dont know them then dont show them. Remember that banks, reputable companies, and government agencies dont send pop-up messages asking for your personal information.

5. Dont carry more personal identification in your purse or wallet than you have to. Your social security card, excess credit cards, and birth certificate should be stored in a safe place. This makes you an easy target. Nothing invites a suspected thief more than to see you pull out a bunch of personal identifying information in public.

If you are a victim of medical identity theft you may file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov.

LabelSecure Rx would like to thank all of our clients, partners, and employees for working to protect the general public by reporting any suspicious and fraudulent practices of any kind no matter who they may have been or are being committed by or when.

Thank You
