For those of you considering putting together a class action law suit against LLI... There is hope.

My mother, who was recruited by Wendy Stevens, was part of a class action lawsuit against LLI in 2005. It took a YEAR to get her money back, but she did. And no, it was not all her money. It was less than half. But she did get some finacial relief.

You will need a tort attorney, and one that's not afraid to play hard ball.

Good luck to you all.

RipOffReport saved my $2,000 today

AUTHOR: Bobbye - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 29, 2008

I was set to sign up with Liberty League next Monday (3-31-08). I ordered a Vonage phone that will be delivered Wednesday.

According to their list of 'out of pocket expenses' to get started, an unlimited flat rate long distance plan is a must have.

See http://www.freebusinessoverview.com/ for the whole list.

As with everyone else I answered an ad on craigslist and spoke with Emil T. (don't know if I am allowed to list last names here.)

I sent him a list of questions last week asking how many responses he had received from his craiglist ad and where else he had advertised, etc. I asked how much the web site hosting was going to be since I could not find that amount in any of their sales pitches. It states on the web site I listed above that a person should have anywhere from $1700 to $2000 in working capital to get started so I asked if the $1,495 Beyond Freedom package was part of this $1700-2000. I thought these were all good questions.

After a couple of days I received what can only be called a canned response from him which did not address one single question. I sort of shrugged and thought oh well I guess he is following some guidelines re not answering questions. But this made me start to feel hesitant.

Yesterday I sent him another email tellling him I had ordered the phone service and that I was prepared to buy the "required" start up kit Monday and asked him if I bought it from him or through the web site. Today I received yet another canned response. Every email I received from this guy said "Call Me if you have questions." That's when I finally used my head and googled "Liberty League." THANK GOODNESS!

After reading all the ripoffreports today I sent Emil a final email just in case he too is being duped.

It states:

After getting nothing but canned emails from you I did what I should have done several days ago. I googled Liberty League. WOW. I can't believe I was ready to turn over almost $2K to you. Someone was looking out for me today.

I don't know how deep they are into you but thought I would pass along a few of these links in case you were sucked in as I was about to be.

My best to you. You will Not hear from me again.

I assume you have already seen this about Wendy Stevens. Her reputation is gone.
