DFW Cars 717 singleton Blown Transmission in less than 12 hrs Dallas Texas
*Consumer Comment: Why would you turn a short term problem into a long term problem?
*Consumer Comment: This is an ELEVEN year old vehicle and was bought "As-Is"...
I was financed for a 2003 dodge ram 3500.
I drove it home. Then the next morning headed to work in golthwaite tx. I got a few miles from job and the transmission goes out.
the owner of DFW cars said I broke it.
I broke a clutch..... Now 12 hrs after taking every penny I owned and sank it in a work truck to better my business.
And instead I was stuck 115 miles from home.
and they refuse to fix it cause it has no warranty.
drove it 2 hrs and now I am gonna have a repo on my credit report because I am not making one single payment. Don't buy here....and wherever
you buy. Get at least a 30 day warranty

Why would you turn a short term problem into a long term problem?

I don't understand your logic. You have a vehicle you purchased to improve your business. Unfortunately the clutch went out immediately. Fix it. Yes, it will cost you to fix the clutch but no where near the cost if you allow the finance company to repo the vehicle. The cost to you for a repo on your credit will be for many, many years (7 years) and many, many thousands. It will cost you more to purchase everything else in life because of the repo.
Was it fair that the truck broke immediately? No. When you buy any vehicle and you did not inspect it prior to purchase, than you are the one that set yourself up for failure. All vehicles, new or used, need to be inspected by a good independant mechanic not affliated with the dealership prior to purchase so you know the actual condition of the vehicle prior to purchase. You chose not to do the inspection so you took on the risk.
Now you want to take a problem that can be solved by fixing the clutch and turn it into a 7 year problem. Potentially a 20 year problem if the finance company gets a judgment against you. Why would you do that? It is better to fix the clutch and sell the truck and pay off the loan if you can't handle repair items. At least you won't be stuck with a repo and a judgment if you handle it right. Read your contract then do your research before you really scr*w yourself over.

Sorry for your misfortune, but dealers usually sell AS-IS when they don't want ANY responsibility for the vehicles condition. AS-IS means ANY and ALL repairs are on you....sorry.
