*Consumer Suggestion: You Were Begging To Get Ripped Off
*Author of original report: Trying to scam other people.
The fence installer was contacted through a post on Craigslist. He came to the home to take measurements and give the client a price. He requested 60% of the price as a deposit to get the materials. He left and said the fence would be done in two to three days. He said he's be back the next day. He came back two days later after constant phone calls and texts and measured where the posts would be located. He said he's be back the next day. He came back two days later after constant phone calls and texts and put eight posts up. He never came back and hasn't responded to texts or phone calls.

You Were Begging To Get Ripped Off

I have been in the fence business for more than 40 years (Lawrenceville Fence Company) and I, along with many other legitimate fence companies would never ask for a deposit in advance of the fence being installed. If the fence contractor cannot afford to buy the materials, then he/she should not be in business and YOU the consumer should not be doing business with that person/company. Further, when the fence company prepared your estimate on that receipt bill, you had to be completely blind for not being able to see you were about to get ripped off. In my opinion, most people that get ripped off are consumers shopping for the cheapest price. A legitimate company, fence or not, has to make a profit and they will not be the cheapest. You Get What You Pay For!!!
