On 8/3/11 John Moore charged me $1900 to replace a relatively new hot water heater because I had a water leak in my kitchen coming from my attic.  The service tech's also ruined my hardwood floors carrying the hot water heater up the attic ladder without putting any protection under the attic ladder.  On 8/5/11, water was still leaking so one of their "expert technicians" was scheduled to perform follow up service.  The tech diagnosed the problem as a clogged a/c line, repaired the line, turned the a/c back on and never double checked his work.  One of his seals failed on the drain line, his explanation on the third trip, which occured on 8/9/11.  Another plumber I hired was there when he arrived.  The newly hired plumber advised the "expert John Moore tech" that he would need to rework the drain to meet city codes and that the hot water heater needed to be rotated 180 degrees so that the heater element was not facing the a/c handler and roof support so that it could be accessed.  He was also told that the electric ground wire was not connected.  The new plumber had me take pictures and BOTH plumbers advised that there was ZERO PERCENT chance that my hot water heater was broken at the time it was replaced.  Their "expert plumber" would have never noticed the problems with the hot water heater installation nor would I have.  I give total credit to the other plumber I hired.

The next day, water was draining from my eaves so the primary drain was working but something was still wrong with the secondary drain.  Since John Moore customer service (a joke) had promised me a full refund, I called the new plumber & he came out and got everything squared away for me.

Every time I called John Moore to schedule another tech service, the phone rep would pitch the water restoration service even though water was still dripping from my ceiling.  Each time I called for service, I was told, "I'm sorry, we're really busy and will have to schedule you for tomorrow".

I still have not seen the refund processed to my credit card account and now I am fighting with them over the repair to my ruined hardwood floors.

What makes this ALL the more appalling is that the first phone call to customer service, I was told, "This is NOT the John Moore Services I know and YOU are our #1 priority".  Well, ALL I CAN SAY IS, "I would hate to be #2 or lower".

These folks have been a horror to deal with and the only reason they have offered to refund my money and repair, NOT replace, my floors is I had another plumber oversee them AND I have pictures!

These people are cold, callous, unfeeling, uncaring, brazenly obnoxious and do not deserve to be in business.
