I have received a bonus from a friend, a $50 Wal-mart Visa Gift CARD.

I have used it twice, there is an amount on it. The only problem with the card now is that it is getting declined everywhere.

So they are ripping people off from half of what their card is saying.

The website states that my Card "WAS BLOCKED"
But I never reported my card stolen ever.

So now I am out of the funds in the gift card and even the store managers can not get a hold of any person from GE MONEY BANK (The ones that issue the card).

Try GE MONEY BANK website and tells me to go to Walmart.com then walmart tells me to go to the company that issued the card.

Every number I have tried give me nothing but the run around.

So to everyone out there.

DO NOT BUY THE WAL-MART VISA GIFT CARD EVER.
you will be ripped off.

Walmart Gift Cards

AUTHOR: Mark Mitchell - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, December 29, 2012

I am writing this for my friend since he has no access to the internet. He too purchased 4 Walmart gift cards, 2 for $50.00 each and 2 for $100.00 each in Venice Fla. The two cards for $50 worked fine, but the two cards for $100 would not work. When the people who received the cards went to use them they were told that they had a zero balance. My friend went to the store with the receipts to find out what was going on and was told that the two cards had previously been cashed in at two different Walmarts some sixty miles away. The manager at store tried to suggest that maybe somebody broke into his house, took the cards from his sock drawer cash them in 60 miles away and put them ( the Walmart gift cards) back in his drawer. From what I have been reading this is not an isolated incident. I feel sorry for my friend and anyone else that gets caught up in this mess because it does not look like there will be an easy fix for this problem.

BOYCOTT GE & ANY COMPANY THAT GE OWNS, LIKE NBC & RAYTHEON!

AUTHOR: Karl - (U.S.A.)

BOYCOTT WALMART TOO!

'Google' this- WALMARTS DEAD PEASANT SUIT AGAINST INSURERS ESCAPES THE GRAVE, and read how Walmart took out 'SECRET LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES' on its own employees. 'Google' this- WALMART WANTS YOU DEAD, and watch that video too.

BOYCOTT ANY COMPANY THAT TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ITS EMPLOYEES & ITS CUSTOMERS!

P.S. NBC's TOP executives KNEW about the "Collapse of the U.S. economy" back in the summer of 2007! They did NOTHING to alert the American people about it! 'Google' this for proof- RIP OFF REPORT GM CREDIT CARD SERVICES, and go to Betty's Rip Off Report about her interest rate going from 10.99% to 32.44%, and then read the '1st Update' to her report! Look what was stated on 9/3/2007 in that Update-

Quote: "The Collapse of the U.S. economy is in its infancy. Get all of your money out of the stock market and cash in your retirement NOW!"

*NBC KNEW! NBC is owned by GE.

BOYCOTT GE & NBC, and any other company that GE owns.

Welcome to America- ONE MASSIVE LIE!

Thank you.

great experience with walmart visa gift card

AUTHOR: nursemel - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 23, 2009

i have had my pre-paid visa from walmart, issued by GE money bank, now for over a yr, my husband has one in his name and i have one with my name, i can go online to pay bills with it, make reservations, track our spending, re-load with cash at any walmart, plus it is also set up for direct deposit, its way easier than a checking account that can be over-drawn or paying interest, plus its immediate.

i can check the balance 24/7 online, by calling the 800# or have it sent text to my phone, i even have it set up to send me a text whenever it is used(with the new balance total) so i know when my husband uses the account! i dont have to carry large amounts of cash around. and i dont like going to the bank, waiting in line, balancing a check book, worrying about over-drafts, waiting until the next day for the funds to be available

this card has been a life saver and i love it, im sorry you had a bad experience, but thats not the case with me. ive never felt "ripped off". i use it everyday, i have the # memorized i use it so much, its safe, annonomous, doesnt cost me but $3 to add $ and im never charged to use it, except at an ATM, but i never do that because when u pay with it at walmart you can just get cash back for free.

How to use your walmart visa

AUTHOR: Southerngirl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 07, 2009

I am a cashier for Walmart.

In order to partially pay for an item with a credit/debit card have the cashier input the amount you wish to pay prior to swiping the card. That amount will be deducted from the card and the balance displayed for you to pay by other means.

how to use remaining balance

AUTHOR: Ms. A - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 02, 2008

pay the difference then run the card last for balance it will work. Its just that the card does not have brains like us so it will try to pick up the entire balance not just whats on it doesnt work like a regular giftcard it can only be ran for the exact amount.

Green Dot is the new company

AUTHOR: Frank - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 01, 2008

I have received a call from Green Dot. The company now taken care of the Wal mart visa gift card.

They will send me a refund minus a $5.00 fee (On the back of the card) for clearing the card number. Told me to destroy the card.

I just lit a fire under them, told them to get their act together or I will contact the FTC. Within 12 hours they contacted me.

So I will receive my small refund in about a week. But with all those fees, it is not worth it to have a gift card.

Before buying a gift card, please read every little word on the back.

How old is that card?

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 31, 2008

Bank gift cards usually have one-year expiration dates, as well as dormancy fees that usually start being assessed when the card is 6 months old. There can be other traps.

You are better off with a store-issued card: a 'Target Gift Card', a 'Wal*Mart Gift Card', and so on, because these store-issued cards neither expire nor are they subject to dormancy fees.
