To say the least I wish I would have never met Mark Teachout or any other persons associated with Full Throttle Power Sports. I had recently taken my boat in for a new starter, new oil, spark plugs and the impeller. I have always taken very good care of my boat, which ran excellent before i dropped it off at Full throttle in Tempe. Full Throttle had my boat for 4 days, I picked it up, payed a little over 1 thousand dollars and 2 days later I was at the lake. My boat started right up, but within 4 minutes my boat motor was seized, water was leaking from the impeller housing, and my boat temp was pegged out at 240 degrees. My family and I stranded having to get towed in, I was defeated.
The next morning I dropped the boat off at Full Throttle Power sports, (Monday). By Friday still had heard nothing, I called to hear Cj (lead Mechanic) say the starter was bad and was checking into a few other things. My response- what about the motor? "Motor is fine" Cj told me. I then told Cj to please give me a call for an update when they are done "checking into a few other things." Nothing for entire week so finally I went down to the shop on Weber Dr. Building empty....... Did some research and found they had moved down around the corner.
Of course Mark nor Cj were at the new building but I was told by the shop manager that basically the boat was fine when it left their shop, and they were not responsible for it now. So as Im looking around the shop, there is a painting business within the same establishment and there is someone actively painting a car right next to my boat. Long story short, my boat is covered in overspray, I have a 454 motor that is seized, and paid Full Throttle over one-thousand dollars to do it all. I left there with my boat in pieces, I still have not gotten a phone call from them. Please people do your research. This all took place in the last 2 weeks of May 2013

I'm sorry about your troubles regarding the repair of your boat. The only thing that comes to my mind After reading your rip off report, It sounds to me like somebody put the impeller in backwards some water pump impellers can only be installed one way if there to move water in the right direction. Four minutes is about how long it would take for the engine to overheat if the water pump was not moving water through the engine.
You did not describe the type of boat did you have ? is it a inboard or a inboard outboard what kind of boat do you have some boats have what is called a SEA c**k. It is a big brass valve that is designed to be turned off so if with the boat is sitting in the water and not being used you can turn that off If needed. If your engine Has a water hose that develops a massive leak you can turn that valve off to help prevent your boat from sinking.
It clearly sounds to me like you have a situation where there was no water going through the engine. That's about how long it would take for the engine to heat up and stop running if there's no water going through it. My question to you does your boat have any kind of valve such as a seacock to stop the water from going through the motor ?
If your boat is an inboard outboard. If The impeller that they replaced is in the foot of the drive They might've put it in the wrong way. If your boat is an inboard sometimes those boats have a External water pumps that have impellers and may still have seacock. I will touch base with the editor at ripoff report and get your contact information.
