I have had 3 separate Net10 phones over  the course of the last 6 or 7 years.  I typically roll over all or nearly all the purchased minute for my phone.

On may 18th I purchased another 60 days and 300 minutes from Net10 website.  My phone already having 7661.25 minutes was reset to 300 minutes and 60 days service.  Several phone calls to customer service have resulted in a re installment of 2295 minutes to phone but not the existing 7661.25 plus the additional 300 minutes purchased on
5/18/2012.

I attached a photo of the phone on May 18th with the phone display clearly showing the 7661.25 minutes on the phone.  Customer service indicated that this picture could be any phone since serial number is not displayed on same screen.  Phone can not  display serial number and time remaining, date etc at the same time.  So company makes sure you can not prove anything to them.

As far as I am concerned at this point Net10 has made a deliberate action to steal over $500 of minutes from me.

All I want is my rollover minutes back on the phone like they should be.

THE GUY IS RIGHT NET 10 STOLE MINUTES FROM US TO

AUTHOR: Retailoperations - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 05, 2012

The guy is right NET10 DOES STEAL MINUTES. Im in the same boat as him. I had 10,000 minutes on the phone from rollover. I accidently lost my phone. I was on the phone with them for over an hour and they scammed me to! I barely use the phone less than 100 minutes a month. I knew I had 58 days worth of service left and 9,850 minutes. The b***h supervisor said I only had 773 minutes left. I told them to validate where the other 92xx minutes went and mysteriously they couldnt tell me. They have a history of scamming people left and right.

File complaints with the FFC and the state attorney generals office in Miami!

They must have changed their policy.

AUTHOR: Jim Martin - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, May 25, 2012

They must have changed their policy since I quit using their "non-service" last year.  As far as when the phone was deactivated, the same response could be given as customer service gave to begin with.  Since it doesn't show the service end date in the picture, for all we know the end date could have been 5/17/11.

Of course, the next question is:  If you knew the policy, and knew the minutes would roll over, why did you feel the need to take the picture to begin with?  Unless you have had issues like this before with Net10 and/or Tracfone.

BTW:  I dumped Net10 when they deactivated my phone.  The reason they gave is that the phone I had was no longer supported on their network.  I had just bought it from their site 2 months prior.

Net 10 FAQ on Minute expiration

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 25, 2012

Since comment was posted by someone with a lack of knowledge of Net10 published information, here is the FAQ section from the Net10 site on minute removal. To clarify my phone had expired one day earlier on 5-17-12.

One NET10 FAQ contains the following:

[Q] If I have passed the due date displayed on my NET10 phone and it is deactivated, can I still use those minutes if I reactivate my NET10 phone?

[A] No, you have 30 days from the day you go past due to add another airtime card and keep your minutes.

Another Net10 FAQ contains:

Q. If I reactivate my NET10 phone, can I use the Minutes I already had?

A. Yes. Your phone will maintain the Minutes for 30 days from the day of deactivation. You must reactivate your phone within the 30 days of deactivation in order to keep the Minutes. However, if your phone is deactivated for more than 30 days, you will lose the Minutes you had.

Just a comment

AUTHOR: Jim Martin - (USA)

Your picture shows that you 0 days of service left.  This tells me that you bought and applied the 60days/300minutes AFTER the old minutes were set to expire.  This is most likely why the minutes were removed from the phone.  Given Tracfone's reputation, I'm surprised they gave you any thing back.  I'd suggest that, in the future, you purchase and apply the minutes BEFORE the old ones are set to expire.

And no, I don't work for TracFone, or Net10, or any other phone company for that matter.
