Bill Heard was advertising the Oldsmobile Alero as a reasonable reliable and priced car, with little money down. Now, I understand that nothing in life is for free but just listen to this. Ok, I saw the car I wanted, It was 99 Olds Alero, very clean, ran good and only 15,000.

It was used but it only had 28k on the speedometer and for a fully loaded car, I think that was pretty good. I had car to trade in for the Alero and only owed like 5k on it but it was giving me major problems and I got tired on shelling out money for it. My salesman, Ed Miller, was all nice and everything and worked very hard with the finance people to get me financed. Here we go.... got back there with the finance manager and he handed my a price of around 400, that was cool with me.

Got the car home and got a phone call from Bill Heard Chevrolet. They said that the finance company I had all of a sudden decided to not finance me, so they set me up with another one. I was with that finance company for awhile and then I got switched to Nuvell. All this time, I'd say about 4 to 5 months, my car starts acting up. I take it back, my "Warranty" so to speak didn't cover what needed to be fixed. So I ended up dishing out over 600 dollars to get that problem fixed. Then, I had to buy new tires because my car start to wobble real bad and it warped my front tires. So along with the tires, I had to get a full alignment. So while I'm dishing out money to get my car fixed, I get laid off. I asked Nuvell if we could arrange some kind of payment plan and they flat out said "NO", WE NEED THE MONEY NOW".

So to make a longgggggg story short, My credit was destroyed, I ended up filing for bankruptcy and I still have major car problems, DO NOT GO TO BILL HEARD CHEVROLET. I went to a lawyer but I would end up dishing out money that I honestly don't have....

Bill Heard there are very few complaints

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 25, 2005

I read these comments and am struck by the sheer stupity. People say there are a bunch of complaints on here about Bill Heard Chevy. If they are a nationwide chain, it stands to reason that there would be some other person in a different state that would read it. Why are there not complaints about other dealerships? The reason is simple. Who would read or care about your problems with Podunk Jims Backwoods Auto Sales? The fact remains that for the amount of cars that Bill Heard sells all across the nation, there are very few complaints.

Huh? High ratings?

AUTHOR: Bob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 04, 2004

Take a look at this site and see how many complaints there are against Heard dealershps versus others. I've learned not to ever go to a Heard dealership.

Sorry for all those who got taken in by Heard but it has helped me avoid them.

Bill Heard new car ratings, I find that hard to believe

AUTHOR: Bill - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 04, 2004

If their rating on new cars are so high (I find that hard to believe), it is because of the c.s.i. tracking of GM. The customer service index is a measurement of customer service satisfaction at and immediately after the sale. GM and all manufactures reward and penialize based on these factors, not on used car surveys. Of course they are going to call and suck up to customers that just purchased a new car for that reason. What are their customers' saying about them 6 months, a year or two years after the purchase...when they have dealt with the service department or God forbid they tried to purchase another car from them?...CSI is a very small measurement of a dealership.

bill heard automobile sales issues, ratings are among the highest in the u.s. for new vehicle purchases

AUTHOR: Doug - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 04, 2004

i am an employee of a gm dealership in california. bill heard's chevy dealerships are some of the largest in the u.s. and his customer satisfaction ratings are among the highest in the u.s. for new vehicle purchases. all of these negative reports concern used vehicle purchases or attempts at purchases, usually in response to advertisements that appear too good to be true. the short solution is to protect your credit and don't put yourself in the position of having to respond to dopey ads. this last guy didn't have loan for 4 months after he took delivery of the car. huh... no question that bill heard puts a lot of these deals together and trolls for these type of deals. state law in california prohibits the type of ads that were described, but if a consumer comes in clean this shouldn't end up this way.

Quick Answers... Screw Jim, he works for Bill Heard

AUTHOR: William - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 03, 2004

Well besides the other comment made by some internet geek named Jim (who clearly kisses Bill Heard's a*s for a living), I have found the help I needed and also learned that "12" other people on here went through the same thing. I also found out that a lawsuit is being drawed against the Bill Heard dealership as well. When more info comes available, I will post it.

Let's Examine This!

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 02, 2004

I may not be able to undo the damage already done so lets concentrate on the mistakes made on the Alero deal so that the same mistakes won't be made in the future.

Since you already know about this website, why didn't you research the dealership FIRST? The evidence, as shown by other complainants to this site as well as in the numerous other cases shows over and over and over and over again Bill Heard dealerships are NO PLACE to buy a car if you want to be treated with honesty and integrity. By the way, how much of a DEALER FEE did you pay? The D/F is a typical Heard tactic in which the price of a car is NOT the price you pay. In other words, when you see the price in an ad, the real cost is the price plus the dealer fee. They are LYING to you even BEFORE you go thru the door! Now other matters...Did you test drive this car BEFORE you bought it? You said you owed $5000 on the trade...what do you think happened to that amount due? It was ADDED to the price of the new used car. You were paying for two cars at once! You may also have been victumized by the "ole spot delivery scam". Don't ever, ever leave a dealership unless you have independent verification of financing before you pick up the car. If they insist you take it anyway, you've just bent over so they can stick it to you. The warranty...did you ever read it? The $400 which you said was the "price"...no, it wasn't! The price of a car isn't so much per month! When you look at it that way, you are bending over again! It wasn't Bill Heard's fault you went BK. If $400 per month made you BK, then you couldn't afford the car in the first place. Oh yes, you got laid off, right? Why not get another job...even if its flipping burgers at McDonald's so that you have some sort of income!

Alot of mistakes have been made here. I hope you will learn from this experience!

Again, (and spread the word), NEVER EVER for a split microsecond consider ANY Bill Heard Dealership for ANYTHING...unless you have a bad case of diarehha and know you can't make it to a toilet. You can then use the showroom floor and nobody will ever notice!
