I am reporting this company for fraud theft and had also negitive to my credit score.
I thought to pay off this off as my birthday gift will be well worth it. I am trying to fix the bad things, here is this company telling me I never paid just the three payments. LOL. I made more than what the bills has left.
This company emails you and tells you they cant find your bill that they have on you. But the website the companies web site for bill is there. I am angry, because they have stold what I was doing right. They stole my heart, I am willing to pay out and not use a debt help.
I dont want to be in the same boat like everyone else is. I thought doing what is right, it would be a good thing.
My parents see me stressing out and trying to do what is right. Like right now I am home find more work. This hurts, I have all of my paypal statments to show that I have made payments to them. To show that I paid it off, I am not some stupid loser.
If they are screwing me up, they are screwing up others without their knownledge. I am so hurt from company who wants more money from the avg American.
I am already contacting the Attoney General from Massachustts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. I am letting them know about this company, and I also going to be putting out of pocket, half page complaint and I will make this not into small claims act, but now a class action suite.
I was in the army, and I got hurt in basic training, I broke my foot in 3 places and injured my back really bad. I would rather be with my unit then dealing with crap like this.
This company is ripoff.
This company will be owning me money, I over paid this company over 250.00 as it stands right now. Now they stolen money from me.

I have been employed by this company for awhile now, and I can tell you that PRA is not the 3rd largest collection agency in the nation because we rip people off. We are publicly traded on the NASDAQ and we all go through a month long training process. We are constantly trained in the FDCPA ( Fair Debt Collections Privacy Act). If you have a problem or questions about your account with PRA then you need to contact the rep that handles your account and solve the problem, not say that we are a rip off. I help people every day dealing eith no money, high gas prices, and everything else that goes along with the economy today and I have not had any complaints and when there is a complaint we handle it in a professional manner. Look us up at www.portfoliorecovery.com and you can contact us with any problems or questions

"Doing the right thing" with bottom-feeder, predators like Portfolio Recovery Associates is a bad idea. You're basically dealing with a barrel full of snakes....Always get written settlement agreements from debt collectors PRIOR to giving them your money. This should state exactly how much is to be paid AND it should state that your account will be settled/paid in full upon receipt of this amount. After getting this, pay ONLY via USPS money orders....NEVER give them your checking account # for auto debits.
