Approximately 2 months ago, I was contacted by First Approval.

I talked with this woman who called herself Natalie Levenson. She told me of the many values of letting First Approval help get my credit "on the right track" and they could do all of these things for a one time fee of "only", $269.00.

I asked her 4 times would I get a Mastercard along with the package I would get. She said yes each time and that I would receive my package in 7/10 business days. About 3 days later, I was feeling a bit uneasy about this, so I called First Approval to get some re-assurance that I was not going to get ripped off. I talked to this rather un-pleasant young girl that insisted that I was attacking her when I pointedly asked her if indeed I was going to get a Mastercard with my package. "I already told you what you were going to get. Maybe you should take better care of your finances if you're so worried about your $269.00".

I asked to speak with her supervisor and she told me that they did not accept calls. They would call me back. I again asked to speak to her supervisor immediately. She told me I was attacking her and then she hung up. I guess a lot of this is my fault for being so gullible. I agreed to let First Approval debit my account for the $269.00. On 4/15, the 269 was taken out of my account. On 5/15 I received my "package". I opened it,went through all of the "junk" in there and (it comes as no surprise, right?) NO credit card.

I did however find an application for: A Stored value Mastercard application sheet. Also a discount card "worth" $4,000, A discount catalog. A CD. A credit repair manual. Some badly copied discount vouchers that can be: "Used to offset the original costs of our program". NO MASTERCARD !!! I immediately called First Approval and asked where my Mastercard was. The telemarker told me that if I took the time to look, I would find an application for a Mastercard.

I politely told her that I wasn't interested in filling out an application and paying for something that I had already paid for. She didn't seem to understand or care. She told me she would make a complaint on my behalf and turn it over to a manager and I would get a call about my complaint. I told her that I was going to return this stuff to First Approval. She then told me there was no refund and I was told that. (I was never told no refund. I was told that this was a one time charge).

That was 3 days ago. No call yet. The point of this (I am sure boring) letter is that I trusted someone with my money to give me what they promised. They did not. They took advantage of me by offering something that I thought would help me get my credit back on line. There will NOT be a next time !!!
