Providian - emerge ripoff Atlanta Georgia

I would just like to say the emerge credit card is a total rip off. I have been with them for over 3 years starting out at 19% interest and am now paying 29.99%.

I have never been late on a payment or ever missed a payment. I owe $3,591.52 and am paying a finance charge of $89.14 cents per month.

I called them to ask for a reduction in the interest rate but was told that I would be notified when that was possable. That notifaction has never happend.

At this rate it will take about 60 years to pay this balance off. I guess that will never happen because I will be dead of old age within 30 years I am guessing.

I advise anyone to avoid this credit card and would be interested if anyone had info on a way to get them to lower their intrest rates.
