Yelp only posts the reviews they want. They give the illusion that customers can give reviews of business's and they will post your review and star score based on your experience. Yelp only posts the reviews they want and remove the reviews that do not meet the factors they decide to be fair. This process is unethical and lacks integrity. Businesss owners are not allowed to use deceptive practices and they must operate etically at all times or be shunned by negative feedback. Yelp needs to post all reviews period! All my reviews were legitimate based on experiences I have had at business's and they took some of them down. They were profesionally written and communicated my experience with that business. Yelp is taking control of the process and controlling it for some reason. Why would they do that? They obviously have some financial interest in what they are doing and they have taken fairness out of the process.

Something to understand

Sometimes you need to be able to look from both perspectives -- business owner and customers. Either perspective can easily exploit the system in order to gain/ruin the business's reputation. All positive comments would give benefit to the business side; on the other hand, all negative comments go against the business. This is an honest system and it CANNOT verify which comment is the fact and which is not.

That said, yelp used to be reliable. However, it has turned from good to bad when it involves more and more money. If you own a business and do not want to pay them (after you have contacted them for whatever reason), they tend to ignore (disqualified) any positive comments on your business in order to force you to pay. Once you paid, they will look after your business by going to the opposite polarity -- disqualified any negative comments.

In conlusion, do NOT completely rely on ANY ONLINE REVIEW on ANY SITE. One should always gives a benefit of the doubt when it seems to be too good to be true. If a business has all positive comments or negative, doubt it. If it has mixed comments, read the negative and ponder about it. Remember nothing is perfect, so one CANNOT please everyone. There is always someone who is unsatisfied and that there should be some negative comments in many positive comments.
