Wells Fargo Home Mortgage wait for modification answer while they foreclose and sell your home fort mill , South Carolina

i have or had (?) a loan with wells fargo home mortgage. in march my job like many others cut back and i lost half of my pay. i applied to wfhm for a loan modification to lower my interest rate which at the time was 9.95%. they denied my request within 4 wks. at that time my payments were good and on time. so i reapplied and stopped making payments till the modification was done. figured the first one only took 4 wks so i could make 2 payments and not be behind. besides obama gave them bail out money to help people like me.                                                             

so i called 3 times a month to check on the progress on the modification. wrote down every person i talked to and the id numbers. the day and time i spoke with them. each time was told still working on mod. and should know something soon. started calling in june,2009. got letter from their lawyers, wilson and asso. told me house was in foreclosure and would be auctioned 7/23/2009.

i called wfhm and was told auction would be postponed till modification complete. and sure enough it was postponed till 8/20/2009. called on 8/16/2009 and was told auction would again be postponed since modification not finished. called 8/20/2009 and was told still working on mod. and should know something bt next wk. guess what? they auctioned my house that same day and bought it back themselves for half its value. the only reason i even knew it was sold was a realator came to my house to take pictures for listing it. so i again called wfhm and was told still in modification and looking good. haha. have called several times to get this straghten out but cant get anyone that can tell me what happened or why i was never notified. admits no letters were sent to me but don't know why. meantime i am sitting in my house waiting for the sherriffs dept to come and evict me and my husband. still have not heard from wells fargo. not sure what to do now. guess will keep waiting till someone contacts me. bet it wont be wells fargo. big ripoff and evidently supported by our president and the rest of the federal government since no one seems to care or check on whatthese high interest rate ripoff companies are doing with our tax dollar bail out money.
