I have to start out that shopping ABC warehouse is like shopping a small car dealer. Everything is negotiable and they are very deceptive in their practices. I have never bought anything from them, but they had some good deals on Black Friday.
They had several good deals on flat screen HDTV's. The ad said that there were 35 minimum Sharp lcd tv's and that the store would open at 8 am. We showed up at 7:45 am and stood in the long line. When we finally got in the store there was an announcement that all the tv's had been sold.
What they did is they handed out tickets for the tv's and you could only by one with a ticket. (That wasn't listed in the ad) Also, they handed out the tickets while people waited in line after midnight. (That wasn't in the ad also)
I inquired from the salesman if they had given out more tickets than they had tv's and he said no....hesitantly.
The ticket clearly stated that it was good as long as supplies last and ended at 10:00 am. Well, why would the ticket be good only as long as supplies last and if I am in line at 9:30 but don't check out until after 10:00 am is my ticket good. Some people got their tickets and left think they had their "Golden Ticket". I wonder if they got their deal or did they get screwed.
What I noticed alot of people doing and we even said it ourselves, "well, as long as we are here maybe we can find a different deal!" I would say that is bait and switch. We ended up using their ad and bought the Tv at Walmart.

You know I was there at 4:00 am and was like the 70th person in line. I asked the person sitting nearest to the door and asked him how long he had waited and he said "midnight". Now, I know you are upset about not getting the t.v that was advertised, however, you must know that day is the busiest day for retail stores. It was not just busy at ABC Warehouse. If you want the greatest deals you will have to wait in long lines for a very long time, especially on that day. I have shopped with ABC for a long time and I have always been treated professionally and courtousely. Also, you stated that you never shopped there before and I was just wondering, how would you know if it was a like dealing with a car dealership if you only shopped there for Black Friday only? By the way, I was standing in line for a Panasonic 42 inch t.v that was adervertised for $544.00 and I was rung up after the 10:00 deadline and I still got my deal. So, I don't know the basis for this complaint. Maybe it was just that store. Who knows?

p.s. Just to let you know, Christmas is on my home calender as well as my work calender, dont be surprised if a company advertises something and then they sell out of it in a real hurry. Christmas is everywhere, just not at your house.
