On August 17, 2012, AFNI engaged in unfair or deceptive acts or practices by, among other things, attempting to collect an unliquidated debt arising from a car crash.  In response to AFNI's unfair or deceptive acts or practices, on September 16, 2012, a lawsuit was filed in the Washington State Superior Court, for King County.  Discovery is currently underway.  The victim of AFNI's unfair or deceptive acts or practices has reserved the right to amend her complaint to seek class action status should discovery show that the defendant AFNI, INC., or its principle, Ameriprise Insurance Company has engaged in a long term pattern of deceptive busienss practices that affects many other consumers in the state of Washington.
