I purchased Auto Warranty Insurance 2-19-2009. I felt real secure.

The security was short lived. I tried to contact the number and there is no service.

There is only one explanation. They are either genuine thieves or have failed to notify me of there new phone number and address.

I hope that someone in an official capacity, will pursue this matter. Since this occured in the state of Ohio, maybe someone in that state would have time to find out where this company is.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

This sickens me

AUTHOR: Absolute_Mellow - (United States of America)

I can tell from what you wrote that you did all the things you thought were necessary to protect your second biggest investment. The average auto repair invoice is quickly approaching $1,000 for even the simplest of repairs. A policy that protects against expensive repairs seems like a good investment.

I have been an auto and truck mechanic since 1978. Do you know what would have happened in 1978 if a policy was available for auto repair? You can bet the next repair would finance my trip to Maui.

While consumers might like the idea of a repair insurance agreement, mechanics would love them even more.

Bottom line, thy don't exist. Not only would they be abused by the car owner, the mechanic would also have his way with the policy.

My advice? If you have a $100 or so to spend on a policy, save it for that time you need a repair. You have much better grounds to deal with a repair. When the transmission mechahinc says it is $2500 to repair your car, offer him $2000 cash and see what happens
