Hello all:

I am sure you guys have heard it all, but I will give you my story.

Same as always the sales went smooth, but as soon as I recieved my loan checks thing went bad. The time it took to get contractors out there was excessive and the contractor coordinator was rude and uninterested in what I had to say.

I had to constantly call her and still continue to call her to find out when the work will continue. Dora is her name and proceeded to tell me that the reason for the delay was because it was hot outside and the workers were "passing out" from heat related problems. I work outside and I had no problems!! What?

Then she told me what I wanted to hear about the schedule. Most of the days when I go home, I find that nothing has been done and more of an issue, my yard is a disaster area. A lot of work has been done up to date, but the communication has been horrible and the customer satifaction is zero.

The latest is, the gunite has been poared, partial plumbing, electrical, and finally the coping and the tile work. That is where I had enough of the problems.

To date, my yard is destroyed, the plumbers dug trenches to lay the pipes and didnt even bother to cover it up, the tile and coping was done the other day and I get home to find empty soda cans and trash all over the place, broken and sharp pieces of coping and tile all over the place.

Trenches are still there, overshot gunite is all over on the perimeter of the pool killing the grass, the yard looks like a bomb went off back there. I am totally disgusted with this whole incident.

I don't know where to go to complain, because the local office seems to care, but things continue to get worse. I read a bunch if forums where people are having worse dealings than me. I wish I would have never dealt with Blue Haven. I have never felt so taken advantage of than with Blue Haven.

I just can't believe that this sort of practice still exists. When I choose Blue Haven, I asked about their customer service and they presented me with several BBB awards, but now that I am in the middle of this, I cannot see how they recieved them.

Thank you for your time and I am sure more problems will arise as the construction snails along.

I had the opposite experience

AUTHOR: Bryan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 21, 2008

I know this is an older report on Blue Haven Pools, but it was one of the few I could find regarding the Spring, TX location and Having seen a bunch of complaints on here about Blue Haven pools in general, I wanted to weigh in with my opinion.

I am currently having a pool built by Blue Haven Pools of Spring, TX. I shopped around and asked several friends for referals. One friend, who works for a property management company of a very large community north of houston had no personal experience, but had heard "good things" about blue haven pools and new the contruction supervisor from her work at the property management company.

Another firend said both his Mother's swimming pool and a friend of his swimming pool had been built by Blue Haven pools and they were happy with the results.

After reading the NUMEROUS complaints about blue haven pools on ripoffreport.com I was a little concerned, but then I realized that they were all individually owned franchises, using their own employees and sub contractors. Given the posotive feedback of my friends, and this piece of information I decided to give the Spring, TX location a try.

I have been very pleased with the work to date so far. Honestly the process has taken longer than I imagined it would, but this included me making several changes to the pool design that pushed back the closing date of our pool loan, and I can't blame blue haven for waiting until after the financing was in place to begin.

I have been fortunate to work with Dora as my coordinator and must say that my experience has been nothing like Michael enncountered. Most often when I would call to check on things I would get her voicemail, but she almost always returned my call by the end of the day, and if not by the very next day.

These last couple of weeks have been frustrating for me because the pool is almost finished and has been sitting waiting on the SmartDEck coating for the concrete and the plaster for the pool. However it has been raining almost everyday for the last two weeks, so this isn't really blue haven's fault.

Despite not being a meterolgist, Dora has responded quite pleasantly to my inquiries about the contruction schedule these past couple of weeks, and of the last three times I've called her I actually reached her instead of the call going to voicemail.

But even when the calls went to voicemail she addressed any issues quite rapidly. Specifically I rember when they were doing the flagstone coping and the tilke it looked like they were going to tile the top of the Spa d**n (where the spa spills over into the pool) instead of using Flagstone as we wanted. I called Jerry first (the Construction Supervisor) and got his voicemail, and left him a detailed message regarding what I thought was going wrong.

About 30 minutes later Dora called me back saying Jerry was busy with some other pool layouts but he had asked her to call me. When I explained what it looked like they were doing compared to what we wanted she listend and explained to me that the contract showed the entire Spa Dam being tile, but that she would be happy to call them and have them do the top of the Spa Dam in flagstone if that was what we wanted.

This problem was fixed before it even became a problem, despite the fact that they were contrsucting it just like it said on the contract.

I have nothing but good things to say about Blue Haven Pools and espicially Dora and Jerry.

Now if only they could do something about this rain.

I will say that my Yard was a disaster for most of the construction process, but the final clean-up crew came through and did a nice Job of cleaning up and re-grading my yard, now I will probably have to go back through and re-sod some of the higher traffic areas rather than waiting on the grass to grow back, but the contract did specifically state that the regrading was alkl they would do, and I would be responible for any other work/damage caused by the construction equipment myself. And I for one appreciate having that option myelf rather than just having the cost of resodding all the damage casued by the excatvation equipment inculded in the price, this way I can spend as much or as little as I want on that part.

Michael, I am curious how your pool ultimately turned out. Despite the problems you encountered are you happy with the final product?

Lies, Lies and MORE LIES...

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 28, 2007

Don't believe this guy from Blue Haven. Dora begs for referrals, and regularly lies telling people what she thinks they want to hear. These people are professional thieves as far as I'm concerned. I deal with crooks all the time and these people are good at it. BEWARE of Blue Haven Spring, Texas!

The Real Facts

AUTHOR: Randy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 15, 2007

Michael has only told you his side of the story, here is the companys side which can all be backed up with facts. He states that most days when he goes home nothing had been done.

Fact, his pool was dug on August the 11, 2006, steeled on August the 14, plumbed on the 17th and shot on the 18. He says they finally got to the tile and coping. That took place on the 22. Eleven days, sounds like quite a bit of work was getting done.

He states that his yard was destroyed. I wish I could send pictures, we cleaned his yard eveytime he called. In fact he called the GM one afternoon complaining about his yard, the GM sent a crew approx. two hours later. The next day the GM found out Michael had filed a complaint with the BBB. How do you file a report when the company is responding to your concerns almost immediately!

Michael also forgot to tell you how he tried to Rip Off Blue Haven. He called the GM and said the electrician cracked his entire wall of his garage when the electrician drilled a 3/4" hole through one brick to run the conduit through the wall!

When the GM went out to check the damage, Michaels garage had structural cracks on both sides of his garage and various points on the walls of his house.

Blue Haven plastered Michaels pool on Sept. 15th.

Michael states that Dora was rude, what Michael forgot to include was that he was cursing at her at the time. Whatever happen to manners? Dora has countless referral letters from our clients and works very hard to try and gain a referral from each of her clients!

Please folks there's plenty of Rip offs out there, we've all been victims as consumers, before you try and destroy a companys reputation ask yourself am I being reasonable and fair. The reason Blue Haven Springs BBB record is so good is they spend thousands of dollars trying to make clients happy, we know that without our clients we don't have a business!
