There is no follow through with the company at all, and no regard to customer satisfaction..
The techs that are supposed to come and check things out do no make it. As far as customer service there is none..
The speed is terrible always dropping the connection or taking forever to up- load my clients that use dial up have 100 xs's faster connections
Here is my experience with Clear- Wire
My husband subscribed to Clear Wire in Mountain Home Idaho it was purchased at Radio Shack, his speeds were never great but it worked for him he seldom used the internet..
When me and my children moved to Mountain Home the Internet was being used daily, I work from home and need the internet for my job (showing people how to use a web-site.)
I started having issues from day one, my internet would take forever to open any of the web-pages and if it did open them it then would drop the connection.
I called clear wire and was told all sorts of garbage from the problem was my router, to the problem is every morning I need to clear my cookies from my router, to the problem is the tower and they would send a speed test report to a level 2 and they would get back to me I am still waiting that was over 4 weeks agoI noticed the problem always occurred when the kids got home from school I think the product was over sold in the area and can not handle the large volume of people using it.
Anyway we moved to a different house four blocks away and the very first time we put the Clear Wire in the window in the new house it did not work, we called Clear Wire and were told to take the modem back and exchange it at Radio Shack we did, we came home and still had the same issue no connection at all we tried to put it in every window in the house we even sat in drive way with it, we were told by Clear Wire that we needed to run cables until we got a connection somewhere in the house. We tried every corner of the house and could not get any reception we were told that Clear Plugs were the solution and we were told that we had to pay for them my husband made a huge fuss and they offered to over night them to me, this is after I have missed three days of work due to there lack of service and un-willingness to cancel the contract so we could afford to go with another provider, they would not do that and wanted to charge 200.00 to cancel any way we said fine you send the clear plugs over night and we will try them, the next afternoon I received a call from UPS Clear Wire had given them my PO BOX UPS does not deliver to a PO Box oh and for the record my husband gave Clear Wire the physical address when he called them UPS said they would deliver my Clear Plugs the next day now I have missed four days from work and I have been written up, the next day UPS comes with my Clear Plugs which are not Clear Plugs but another modem I am not kidding they sent another modem I was so upset, I called Clear Wire and I told them all I wanted to do was cancel my contract with no fee to me, I was then transferred to Tammy an account manager I was told by her that they would need to send a Tech to my home and they could not get any one out until next week I could not believe this and when I asked Tammy about my Clear Plugs she was so stupid and asked me "If I really thought Clear Plugs would fix my problem I lost it I said I don't work there you tell me if that will fix my problem she was very rude I told her that I was done from talking to someone so stupid and to just send the tech. When my husband got home he called them well come to find out Tammy did not notate my account or request the tech so we had to wait on more day for the tech to come, by now I have called Qwest and I am waiting for internet to be hooked up from them I have also called my bank and closed out my account that they were taking money from and told the bank that they no longer had my permission to withdrawal money from my bank account.
I tried again to speak with clear wire to see if there was any thing they could do to expedite the tech and was told no I worked with the tech and tried my modem again all over the house I was finally able to get 3 lights with my modem not in a window but the middle of my room suspended from the ceiling it looks like crap and I am still having speed issues my Qwest will be turned on Friday and we are going to cancel UnClearWire.. The tech never did show up and my upload speed sucks. I have also lost 800.00 from not being able to work..
We have been contacted almost daily by ClearWire they are trying to collect on the early Termination fee they want 187.00 from us I try to explain to everyone I talk with and no one really cares at ClearWire.
We had a call from the collections department saying they would settle the debt for 87.00 we went and purchased a pre-paid visa call I called the collection agency the collector did something wrong with the card it took the 87.00 off of the card but she said the charges never went through, I called the credit card company they said I have to wait 7-10 days and then I can try again. It is a joke if I did not care about my credit I would not pay them the collection calls come at 8:00 A:M on Sunday!!!!! They still want me to pay right now even though they screwed up my payment.. The worst customer service I have ever had.
