The status of the AC was reported to Colonial Home Warranty by the technician. Colonial Home Warranty said they could not authorize a repair of the AC, if I could not produce two (2) years of maintenance records on the air conditioner. There is a clause written in the terms and conditions that say that they can ask for maintenance records, but it does not indicate a time period, and I do not have two years of maintenance records on the AC. Colonial Home Warranty will find any and every excuse to not pay for any warranty repairs. Their warranty contracts are cleverly crafted as not to pay for any warranty repairs and the people at the company are also liars and very deceptive.
On three different occasions, I called Colonial to have repairs made that should have been under warranty, but each time I was told for some reason, the repair was not covered. My contract with Colonial expired on July 28, 2013, and they had the nerve to call and ask me to renew my contract with them, I'm sure you know what my answer to their renewal request was. Need I say more! I am contacting the Delaware State Attorney General to file a complaint against Colonial Home Warranty. It is my hope that many others who have had similar experiences with Colonial will do the same. You can contact the state attorney @ Delaware State Attorney General
