Eliot Management Group Credit Card Processors SCAM DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! Salt Lake City Utah

I just set up a business and used Eliot Management Group (EMG) for credit card processing. At the beginning the salesman made all sorts of promises of loyolty and how great their customer service is. I paid $250 to get the machine set-up. After it was all ready to go it was just dropped off in my hands. No instructions etc... I plugged the machine in and ran a few cards on it. It didn't batch out correctly the first time so I now had to call the trusty customer service to get a hold of someone to figure out how to get my money out of the machine. The local branch never answered any of my calls!

After getting no help there I called the 800 number. After spendinig an hour with the customer service rep she stated that the machine had been set up incorrectly. It was trying to batch out $22,000 instead of the $1,000 it was supposed to do. After hours and hours I finally got that problem fixed however, now I the machine was not printing correctly. Again I called the local EMG branch to come out and fix it/replace it etc...

Again, nobody was there to help. I now had a credit card machine that didn't work which I paid $250 for. I continued to call the local establishment with no reponse back. After 2 weeks I had had enough. I wrote a letter telling them to close my account. I didn't receive any other phone calls. I thought everything was over. Oh was I wrong. They charged me $495 because I closed the account early. What did they expect me to do? I have to be able to run credit cards at my office and my machine was not working and was never set-up correctly.

When I called in and spoke with the manager (Courtney) she just says sorry you signed the documents. Then apparently the local rep had lied about trying to get in touch with me over and over and how I was the problem and how I was so hard to get a hold of. I run a doctors office. I promise you we answer our phone. NEVER do business with these people. If you know anyone doing business with them tell them to stop immediately. Yes it will cost them money but they will have to pay that and more if they stay with EMG. THIS COMPANY IS ABSOLUTELY FRAUDULENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
