Hello, I live in a very rural area of North Carolina and I am forced to have Embraq "high" speed internet service because no other provider can give it to me.

Let me start off by saying, this service is unacceptable.

First off, they told us we would be able to receive the 10mbps service and thats what they gave us. After browsing the web for a few weeks I was content with it. Until I noticed that there was no way I was on a 10mb line. So we called them and what do we find out? They made a mistake, they were charging us for 10mb when we could only receive 3mb. This made us all frustrated and annoyed but we eventually got over it and ignored.

The next thing to happen was my xbox. I am a pretty average gamer when it comes to Xbox live and the PC. Embarq doesnt like that apparently. Trying to get an open NAT type on my xbox through their router was hell. It would open after hours of tinkering with it, then close after you turned the xbox off. I even went to the xbox live forums to ask the questions and spent about a month embarrassing myself trying to get it to work because i looked like an idiot. Eventually I got it somewhat open and just left it and havent bothered since.

Eventually I got over that and now it just starts cutting off. I mean seriously? Not only are you slow but when it cuts off every 15 minutes? That is unacceptable. Embarq needs to step their game up, hire some intelligent workers, and provide a way better service than the cheap, lousy kind im receiving right now.
