Do not buy any fitness equipment from this company! I equipped my gym with $60,000 of freeweight equipment from their HardKore line, and not only did it not stand uo tp average use, Brendle Systems did not make good on it!

The company used slogans like "Built to buy once" and "The Rolls Royce of Fitness Equipment" in their ads. They used very slick advertising, spec sheets, testimonials, etc, but when it came down to it, they couldn't, or didn't, back up their claims.

The parts they used were inferior in the industry, cables broke, welds came apart, the metal frames even bent! First they did make an attempt to provide service, then eventually gave up. Toward the end, I got the run-around, talking with the owner Brendle himself, but nothing was ever settled. I spoke to the sales person who sold me the equipment, and I was told that he had to get another job because the company wasn't doing well. Later I found out that the HardKore division was shut down.

Brendle systems still exists, but they will not make good on equipmen that: I bought in good faith, broke down, and am still paying the finance company for!! Will the same thing happen with FitWall? Same lousy quality - different name.

Remove false report immediately

AUTHOR: Doug - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 06, 2011

After seeking council for the false and slanderous report that has been published online allowing damage to our company and product in violation of one of its own rules and I quote it: "Rumors, speculation, or innuendo unless you have personal knowledge that your statements are true;". Ripoff Report has allow a slanderous and damaging assumption to be published without first verifying the facts that most importantly the two companies and products are two entirely different legal entities and have had no association or affiliation with each other. It has been pointed out to us that the sequence of events the follow such frivolous and slanderous reports require the victims like ourselves to in fact have to pay large sums of money to Ripoff Report and/or its affiliates to have the report removed or arbitrated unjustifiably in defense of its reputation that should not otherwise be challenged or associated. If the Ripoff Report is what it represents, even within its own policies, it should have done its own due diligence before allow the damage to be done. Ripoff Report did not infact contact our company in anyway to verify or qualify any association. At this moment we respectfully request Ripoff and the person that filed the complaint to remove this report front he internet immediately. We also reserve the all our rights in defense of both parties and refuse to be coursed to pay valuable time and money through a cleverly devise system to extort money from individuals and companies without cause. We note that if anything is allowed to remain in the report that this too must be included word for word and has been copied in text and captured image as rebutted on the Ripoff Report site submittal form to which it is entered. Our next action is to file our own reports in warning for both parties and what they are doing. Respectfully, remove this report and do not allow another such report to be published.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Former Founder of HardKore

AUTHOR: Doug - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, April 04, 2011

First off I must say that I founded HardKore in 1979 and sold control of the company in 2003. I remained a non controlling shareholder in the company but surrendered control of it. I remained a shareholder and a board member until April 22 2010 when the company was dissolved. I made myself available to the company for support but left its employment several years prior, approximately 2006. Secondly, I have to make clear that I did not control the company or its quality control issues. I did offer solutions when asked such as for Vince, but could not control nor know if anything was done. I remember speaking with Vince and identifying the solution and instructed HardKore as to what I believed should be done, and supplied them with heavier parts specifications to accommodate Vince's requests. I could only suggest the gage and process for parts and assemblies, but I could not control what was decided to use or not use. I could only assume things were done for Vince unless I was told otherwise. I am sure it was true an employee may have said something about looking for a job, as they must have known it was coming to a turning point, and I believe the person that sold the equipment to Vince was the President of the company and was in control of the company at that time. For quite a while a lot of manufacturers were not getting any new equipment sales, and it hurt most of them, if not all of them, and many of them are now out of business, trade name sold or anythings possible. Third and most important, Brendle Systems was never a part of HardKore, Inc. Brendle Systems were separate legal entities not having anything to do with one another other than the former founder and shareholder being in common. It was unfortunate that HardKore's board elected to dissolve the corporation last year, but it was decided to do so before going into debt like so many other had and declare bankruptcy and leave the burden to the tax payers and customers. HardKore had many happy customers and before the the unfortunate events of the US market it did take care of its warranty as far as it was made known to me. HardKore did not manufacture the cable it used, like all other fitness equipment manufacturers, and in their case purchased cable from LOOS Inc., one of the largest cable companies, and I believe in HardKore's warranty that was one of the parts that the warranty was past on to the manufacturer of the cable. It is also unfortunate that an assumption that the two companies are associated has been made publicly and that I was not contacted directly after corporation was dissolved and given a chance to talk to Vince and maybe even help. As far as Brendle Systems, I have control over it, and I do control quality and it will remain the highest until I no longer have control. There is to be no reference made to the two as the same company or manufacturer and especially to the product FitWall from this point on with out malice intent noted. I am sure that was not Vince's intent and I welcome Vince to call me directly and we can discuss how things were left and if there is anything I can do for him. I can also understand Vince's frustration, as with those who bought from the many other brands that have gone out of business since the market crash. It is hard for a company to maintain quality when it is no longer around to deal with warranty issues and resolution. I wish the best for Vince, and I am sorry to hear that things were not resolved to his satisfaction before HardKore dissolved as a corporation.
