JC PENNEY TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED political corruption Northridge California .....

Why do JCPenney customer service associates have a "bad attitude"? Maybe, if Customers were not ignorant. Yes, Customer Service is a job, but for customers NOT TO TREAT YOU AS A SLAVE. This bad attitude or poor customer service issue runs both ways. YOU treat people the same way YOU want to be treated.

If you in any way do not respect the associate, even if its by not answering them when they ask you ; "How are you", that is a sign of an ill-mannered person. It is natural to respond to a customer who is vulgar, THE SAME WAY THEY WERE TREATED. Obviously, Customer service associates are not slaves, emotional therapists, or anything of that nature. No Customer Service associate in any department store gets paid to put up with customers who believe slavery exists.

That leads to why "tension is thick everyday", ITS A CYCLE, one rude customer acts in an UNCIVILIZED manner towards an associate who is calm and caring (and now believes MOST customers are that way), then that associate will treat the next loud-mouth customer the same way the uncivilized customer treated them (the associate). Once again, TREAT OTHERS THE SAME WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. if not, do not complain.

Problems such as, when customers pretend "customer associates" know everything. Oh please, when will this ignorance discountinue? NEVER, just as the same way racism and prejudism will NEVER EVER END.

TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. "I went back to jcpenneys to pick up a suit after being altered. The older french native sales rep,"... WHAT? older french native? What in the world? How RACIST can you be to know they are french native. That is the background where all this most EDUCATED, reasonable bad attitude comes from. That is a perfect example of the daily educated and most-mannered "frustrated customer" that walks around in AMERICA. And what a perfect way to use his mind as a way of thinking... ("older FRENCH NATIVE)...

TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED If you can afford a 300 dollar suit, good for you, maybe if you did not think with money, race, gender, or age, maybe JCPenney customer service associates would treat you the way you "want" to be treated.

RESPECT OTHERS DO NOT BRING PERSONAL ISSUES WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES REMEMBER SOMEONE WILL ALWAYS PAY YOU WITH THE EXACT SAME TOKEN(AND MY FAVORITE) TREAT OTHER THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED love, peace, AND EQUALITY

Most people would be far nicer in return.

As a customer support professional of 23 years experience, I was trained in customer satisfaction skills when customer satisfaction used to be important.

I know what it is like to have people scream at you. I my case - by the time the irate customer gets to me, they have been lied to over and over again by other personnel and are plain FED UP. In my company the Sales Reps are the ones that cause the problems and then refuse to deal with it and management will not deal with these poor sales reps either.

Are they angy with me personally?- NO. They are angry with the company's refusal to deal with the problems the company has caused them.

One day I returned a call to a customer within an hour of call and when he answered the phone and I told him who I was - his response was
"I Don't Believe it". He was astounded I had returned his call so quickly when everyone else he had called at his local office would not return calls at all.

Employees of JCPenney, treat me like a human being!

I have worked for JCPenney for six years off and on and the way we are treated by customers has deterioriated rapidly in these six years. I am rude to customers and I will admit that, but only when they are rude to me first. I do not see why I should stand at the register and let someone talk down to me as if I am some lower life form. I'm not paid to be a punching bag for someone.

The favorite line of customers always starts with, "Well, you people. . ." As if I personally made up JCPenney policies just to make them angry. People with problems should take them up with corporate instead of taking them out on the customer service associates who are ALSO victims of the idiotic rules of corporate.

The next favorite line from irate customers is, "I'll never shop here again!" Please keep this promise. Though we can't say it, we don't WANT you to shop here again, not when you insist on holding us responsible for all of your problems.

I would ask that customers keep in mind that we are all simply working to live and pay bills. Not everything that happens in JCPenney is fair, but if people stay resonable we are much more likely to do whatever is possible to fix the problem. I go out of my way to help the nice customers.

I will give sales promotions not open to everyone and I will try to get them free shipping, better sales prices, anything to make things easier. Unfortunately, this does not happen very often. There are not very many people who come into this store and treat me like a human being.
