Kelsey Mclean aka Kelly Mclean is a racist working at Macys Herald Square NYC. She is the Sales Manager for SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana Cosmetics. SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana Cosmetics are both owned by Proctor and Gamble.
Kelsey Mclean aka Kelly McLean is around 38 years old , she was previously employed at Lord and Taylor. Now she is the Sales Manager for SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana Cosmetics. Kelsey Mclean allegedly became the Sales Manager for SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana Cosmetics after she was transferred from Macys Fragrance department. She was transferred because she allegedly received numerous grievances and complaints while working in the fragrance department. She was then hired by Proctor and Gamble, to be the Sales Manager for SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana Cosmetics. While employed for Macys Herald Square, I worked with Kelsey Mclean at SK-II. She was my Sales Manager. I was subjected to racist comments (I’m black by the way) . And was subjected to a very hostile work environment. In a training meeting for SK-II Kelsey Mclean stated to a room full of people that the current stock guy for the SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana Cosmetics was going to be transferred because there was communication issues. I worked with this stock guy for a very long time and I have never had an issue communicating with him. The only difference from him and everyone else is that the stock guy had a very thick Spanish accent. I along with my other Macys coworkers believe that Kelsey Mclean had the Spanish stock worker transferred because he spoke English with a Spanish accent. She then hired a white stock worker to take his place. Kelsey McLean has told me before that I had a funny accent and then proceeded to ask me where I was from. I believe this is one of the reasons Kelsey McLean was extremely hostile with me while I was employed at SK-II.
On one occasion Kelsey Mclean came to the SK-II counter she appeared to be under the influence of a drug of some sort. She started talking to me asking a bunch of questions, talking really fast, and asking different off topic questions, even repeating herself multiple times. Kelsey Mclean didn’t seem to comprehend what I and another coworker was telling her. Her behavior this night was very, very bizarre. I explained to Kelsey Mclean days later that her behavior that night was very bizarre. I told her that my coworker and I told her something and she didn’t seem to understand. I told her that she repeated herself multiple times and that her behavior was extremely strange. I also explained to Kelsey Mclean in this meeting that her behavior is very offensive to me. Kelsey Mclean then stated to me “I don’t think this is working out do you”. I believe Kelsey Mclean threatned to fire me that day, because I called her out on her behavior told her she was offensive, and that her behavior days before was very bizarre. I taped this conversation with Kelsey Mclean because of how strange her behavior was a couple nights before the meeting. I will be placing the important parts of this conversation on YouTube shortly.
In that same meeting Kelsey Mclean stated that I called her bossy that night. And, that the SK-II employee that was present heard me call her bossy. Kelsey Mclean then stated that I even called another employee at the SK-II counter bossy. It was at this point I realized that Kelsey Mclean had a very serious problem, that was just as bad as being a racist. Kelsey Mclean is a very big pathological liar. It was very scary watching this woman who is the SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana manager, lie to my face about a conversation that I was apart of. She then asked me not to tell anyone what we spoke about. I have this conversation on tape and will be posting clips of it to YouTube shortly. It was shocking to me that she would not only lie on me. But use my SK-II coworkers to enhance her lie, and then ask me not to mention it. Of course I did go up to my coworker upset that she would lie on me. She then informed me that Kelsey Mclean was the one lying and not her. The coworker was not surprised that Kelsey Mclean would lie on her, because allegedly Kelsey Mclean has a reputation for this type of behavior.
Sadly I am not the only SK-II employee that realizes that Kelsey Mclean has some serious problems. Other employees have noticed that Kelsey Mclean lies a lot and appears to believe all of her lies. On another occasion I mentioned to Kelsey Mclean that I have not received any of my commissions since I started working for SK-II. Kelsey Mclean then stated to me that I should be grateful that I even have a job, and that Macys hires “YOU PEOPLE”(Please note that I’m black) . When I told Kelsey Mclean that “YOU PEOPLE” is offensive. She stated to me if I am offended I don’t need to work there. Kelsey Mclean then stood at the SK-II counter observed me then walked over to me and told me “I am not smiling, and that I look bored”. I felt that Kelsey Mclean was trying to provoke me. She practically called me the N word(you people is just as good), and then asked me why I wasn’t smiling. On a another occasion I was at the corner of the SK-II counter drinking water in a cup. Kelsey Mclean walked up to me and started talking to me very aggressively manner and said I could not drink water in a cup. I then told her ok and walked away. Kelsey Mclean then walked up to me very aggressively and said don’t walk away when I am talking to you. Kelsey McLean’s behavior was very strange , when I walked away from her she was not speaking. So it was very bizaree to me that she would come back up to me and tell me that she was speaking.
Another scary thing is Kelsey Mclean appears to believe her own lies. After she told me don’t walk away from her , I told another SK-II employee who was present to try to listen in on the conversation. I was hoping to have someone else present because Kelsey Mclean lies a lot and I was afraid she would make up lies and say that I said things that I didn’t say. However that day Kelsey Mclean was just very nasty . As I was standing in front of her, she asked me to come closer to her then she bent down close to me and started talking VERY NASTY to me. She was so close to me I could smell her breath. She then told me that I had to go home because I rolled my eyes at her. Kelsey Mclean must have imagined me rolling my eyes, because I do not even know how to roll my eyes. It was very offensive to me that she would send me home for drinking water in a corner. On a separate occasion Kelsey Mclean saw a white employee drinking a red bull and she was extremely nice to her smiled at her and ask her to finish it. She did not send the white SK-II employee home.
That day I learned that Kelsey Mclean stated to another employee that I said who cares. The employee then stated to Kelsey Mclean I didn’t hear her say that. (This is exactly what I was trying to avoid). Kelsey Mclean is a big pathological liar. She lies on her employees. When I was hired at SK-II Kelsey Mclean stated that I would be the Counter Manager and I would be paid a certain amount of Counter Sales. After asking her numerous times to show me my extra tasks and asked her to tell me my responsibilities. She then stated to me about a month later that she has to confirm with Han Tran in Human Resources. She then said that Han Tran said that there is not a Counter Manager at SK-II. After I reminded Kelsey Mclean that we spoke about this and even my Hiring Paperwork stated my position. She claimed that it was a mistake. (I have this on tape and I will be placing it on YouTube shortly.) I still have not received commissions that was suppose to be paid to me. I also have not received pay for training that was done months ago. I mentioned my missing pay to Han Tran in Human Resources , hoping that it would be taken care of. But it wasn't. I called the Union to make complaints on Kelsey Mclean numerous times. I was prompted to go to Human Resources. I then contacted Han Tran to file a complaint.
Eventually I had a meeting with Han Tran in Human Resources and explained to her that Kelsey Mclean was harassing me, she was making racist statements, she was being verbally abusive and that she was lying on me and other coworkers. I explained to Han Tran that Kelsey Mclean was making the SK-II counter a hostile work environment. And I told Han Tran it was obvious to me and other SK-II employees that Kelsey Mclean was treating me differently and harassing me. The union rep that accompanied me to my meeting with Han Tran, told Han Tran to look at Kelsey McLean’s file. Allegedly she has done stuff like this before. Han Tran then claimed that she would investigate. About a week and a half later Han Tran called me to her office and claimed that she investigated. Han Tran claimed that Kelsey Mclean was trying to give me direction and it was rude of me to ask someone to listen to the conversation. Han Tran put all of the blame on me. Han Tran then stated to me that I was under my probation period and I was being fired because I wore jeans to work, and I wore boots to work. This caught me by surprise because I actually gave Macys the benefit of the doubt and hoped that they would actually investigate. I learned that Han Tran never spoke with any of my SK-II coworkers or attempted to contact any SK-II employee to investigate some of the things in my complaint that other coworkers could verify. It appears to me that Han Tran fired me to cover up Kelsey McLean’s behavior. I NEVER wore jeans to work. And I did wear boots to work all the time that Kelsey Mclean never had an issue with. Hundreds of other Macy’s employees wear boots to work. And many of the girls at the SK-II counter wear boots to work. Kelsey Mclean even stated to me on one occasion that she liked my boots. It was obvious to me, and other SK-II employees that my firing was retaliation for making a complaint against Kelsey Mclean the Sales Manager for SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana Cosmetics. SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana Cosmetics are both owned by Procter and Gamble.
This is a text I received from my SK-II coworker after I was fired “it’s a shame that in this day and age these things still happen”. I completely agree with her. If your reading this, please tell everyone that you know not to shop at Macy’s. Macys is harboring a racist who is practically allowed to discriminate against there employees and get away with it. Allegedly Macys is being sued right now because of Kelsey Mclean behavior to previous employees, allegedly about 7 people are suing Macys right now because of Kelsey Mclean. Kelsey Mclean is still allowed to walk free and make racist statements to her SK-II employees. Do not support a company that feels it is ok for their managers to behave like Kelsey Mclean and make excuses for them. Please tell everyone you know about this. I will be filing a complaint with the EEOC and Department of Labor. I plan to get the word out and start a website about this.
