When i signed my contract on 2-8-12 it was with Pinnacle Security. Not long after that the company changed to Devcon Security. Then on November 8th 2012 i got a letter stating Devcon had sold our contract to Monitronics.

Recently my system has started stating that doors are opening when there closed and locked. I had to turn the chime off on the system. The customer service rep said the batter needed to be changed so i opend it up and pulled the battery out. I found that the batter had started leaking acid a ate way one of the connections.

The rep said i would have to buy a new battery and pay for a tech to come fix it even though i have a warrenty. When i ask how much to get out of the contract i was told it would be 1000 dollars this is extortion. The rep to me im under contract and there is nothing i can do to them. I never singed a contract with these idiots i dont see have a contract can still be good after changing companys twice. Monitronics dose not even repair the equipment thats General Electrics job. I dont see how a anti trust lawsuit has not be filed against this compay.

If a contract or compay is sold the consumer should have the right to opt out of the contract. Any one in sacramento, Ca who has had problems should call Curtis Ming from CBS13 news and have him investigate because thats what i am going to do.

Consumers always get the shaft

AUTHOR: Goldenoldie - ()

Yes i am old but im not so old that i have lost touch with the fact that someone who prvides a service has a obligation to make sure that they uphold there end of the bargin. So excuse me for using the wrong words. What i ment to say was a class action lawsuit. If i buy a product with a warrenty and the product fails to provide me the service i am paying for then i should not have to pay any expencies for repair. If the consumer has to live up there obligations then the company has to as well. If we have to pay its right away but if the company has to pay they can take as long as they want to.

I am the one paying for a service every month the consumers are the one's with the real power but most are to busy with there live's to stand up and fight. So it sounds like its ok to screw over the consumer but its not ok for the consumer to fight back. Its not my responsability to up hold a company's obligations to fix faulty equipment. As far as going to the local news you have no idea who i was referencing and the headaces this guy has giving all companys big and small. He's on the side of the consumer and gets results.

From the sound of things you work for these low life and are scared of the bas press or some other company who screws there customers then smile as you take there money. My lawyer told me he has a stack of complaints a mile high on his desk about this company. At some point voters will get tired of it and get more laws to protect themselves from dirt bags like you so crawl back under that rock you came from.

It doesnt matter....

Much like a mortgage, ANY contract can be sold to another party. See its called business. You DID sign a contract with the original company. That contract has a value to it and as such reguardless of who owns the contract. The amount you owe is still the same. This contract is considered a form of capital. Or revenue if you prefer. What you are asking them to do is allow you to opt out of a LEGALLY BINDING contract because its sold to someone other then the original company. What you are basically saying is because the company was sold you should be allowed to get out of what you LEGALLY owe. This just doesnt happen. The owner of your contract is paid the same no matter WHO owns it. This is not a anti-trust issue.

This is you not wanting to pay for the repairs. This is you looking to screw a company out of what is RIGHTFULLY theirs. Basically this is you looking to blame ANYONE else so you dont have to accept responsability. Go ahead and call your local TV station. I foresee them listening carefully then laughing at your sheer stupidity the moment you hang up. You must be some old person who has lost touch with how the world works anymore because if that is not the case. YOURE JUST A SCAMMER!!!!
